Everytime I travel to ATL I must hit them up! I’ve tried multiple locations, but Percy and his crew were outstanding! He warmly greeted all tables, the hostess opened the door for us upon entry, check on us periodically. Staff was 10/10!

Their version of the BLT is so bad it was upsetting. The menu doesn't warn you about fake bacon, mystery lunch meat slices, raw onion, and the orange sweet sauce that drenches the whole thing instead of mayo.

Review: Grits and Eggs – A Cozy Brunch Spot with a Few Hiccups

I recently visited Grits and Eggs for brunch after hearing some good things about their Southern-inspired menu. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a laid-back charm that made it easy to settle in and enjoy a slow weekend morning.

The food overall was solid. I ordered the pork chops with greens & mac & cheese which came out hot and flavorful, with a nice balance of creamy grits and well-seasoned shrimp. The portion size was generous without being overwhelming, and it definitely felt like comfort food done right. The biscuit on the side was flaky and buttery—probably one of the highlights of the meal.

Unfortunately, there was some trouble with the coffee order. It took a few tries for the staff to get it right, and the service was a bit slow and disorganized in that department. It wasn’t anything rude or unfriendly—everyone was pleasant—but the confusion over something as simple as a cup of coffee did take away from the overall experience a bit. It just felt like the front-of-house team wasn’t quite in sync that day.

That said, I appreciated that they eventually corrected the order without much hassle, and they were apologetic about the delay. Mistakes happen, and their polite attitude helped smooth things over.

All in all, Grits and Eggs is still worth a visit, especially if you're craving a hearty Southern brunch. Just be prepared for the occasional service hiccup, particularly during busy hours. I’d go back, maybe give them another shot on a less hectic day.

I went to the Summerhill location on Sunday at noon. No one to greet us at the door. After being seated, I had to get my own menus. The waitress brought out glasses, no straws. She brought out straws, no silverware. She brought out silverware and no napkins. She made six trips to our table, bringing one thing at a time, usually only after we requested it. When my food was brought out, it was not prepared the way I requested. The waitress came and told my wife that they did not have the baked chicken that she ordered. They only had fried chicken!? When I told the waitress that my food was not prepared as requested, she said “ I’m sorry“. And that was it, she made no effort to try to make it right. I will not be returning

I had a great time celebrating my birthday—it was my first visit here. I went to the bar, sat with T, and the manager, Percy, made us feel truly welcome

Wow. Really great service and even better food. Ordered the french toast with eggs and the waffles with eggs. Please make sure you get the home fries. SO GOOD. keep doing what you’re doing.

The name says it all - the grits and eggs are the stars of the show! The grits are incredibly creamy and delicious, and the eggs are cooked with real skill, making for a fantastic breakfast highlight. Unfortunately, the rest of the menu didn’t quite measure up. The French toast was average, something I could’ve made at home, and the biscuits were tough and plain. The “homemade” gravy was a letdown, lacking flavor, and the coffee was bland. The orange juice, despite being advertised as farm-to-table and refillable, tasted like watery concentrate - definitely not worth a second glass unless it’s mixed into a cocktail!

On the bright side, the service was prompt, though the staff came across as a bit cold and indifferent. The ambience is lovely, especially the outdoor dining area, which makes for a pleasant experience. It’s also heartwarming to see the transformation of the Summer Hill community - kudos to Georgia State University for their efforts in uplifting the area. I’d come back for the grits and eggs alone, but I hope the rest of the menu catches up to the star dish!

Nice Brunch Spot in the Summerhill Neighborhood. First Time trying it out and it was ok. A tad pricey especially with the $15 price difference between regular Fish and Grits and Shrimp, Fish and Grits for only (6) regular sized shrimp. The Chicken and Waffles would have been amazing if the Waffle wasn't a tad overcooked and doughy. Overall the location has Tons of Vibes and Views. Definitely would return.

Boy oh Boy! This was a very nice meal. The chef was so kind and accommodating because I am a vegetarian and I don’t eat meat, so I got a side of grits with curry and some scrambled eggs. When I tell ya’ll these are the BEST eggs that I have ever eaten. They are fluffy, but not too soft. I added cheese and it is melted perfectly. Please DO NOT get me started on the curry grits. I had to take a break and catch my breath because I will catch the itis in these people restaurant. Chanelle was my waitress, however, everyone was kind and attentive. The grits were creamy, and although I don’t like creamy grits I do love these grits. It may taste different for those who order the curry shrimp and grits. It smells like Jamaican curry, and I smelled it before I saw it, but it still was not too overpowering. 10/10. I’ve also resided in Houston for three years, and this has instantly become my favorite food spot. I feel blessed to be able to taste this amazing food! Compliments to the chef as they say. Much love and more power to you.

This was my inaugural visit to your exquisite establishment. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and amiable. Our server, Zaria (I trust I have spelled your name correctly), provided outstanding service. The chicken and waffles were superb; the waffle was exceptionally light and golden, and the chicken was perfectly seasoned. The ambiance was ideal, and I plan to return. I highly recommend this restaurant to family and friends.

This is a really nice brunch spot. It's right in Summerhill with a nice view of the GSU stadium. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating so it's perfect for summer time. I got a southern Benedict and it was so good. The service was friendly and on point. I would definitely come back.

Food was not good at all. Super disappointing the outside dining is not open at all hours.
