Staying in the Marriott (went late at night after Hawks game). Bit busy at 11ish on a Saturday night, less servers... BUT... Food was great! Chicken tenders and fries (with their sauce) was on point. Took a slice of their chocolate cake to. OMG - it was huge and tasted dee-lish. RECOMMEND.

My husband had bone in wings and chips...delicious! I had the velocity burger without onion and a salad. The salad was large and the burger was juicy and very good! The service was impeccable! Bree was amazing! We sat at the bar and watched the Tournament. Lots of fun and great atmosphere.

Service was awful. After 45 minutes asked about order. Items came out, others never arrived, canceled from bill. Waiters were completely oblivious to the issues, had no answers. The food that did arrive was average at best.I travel 3+ nights per week. Experience as bad as I have experienced. For a facility of the stature of the ATL Marriott Marquis, embarrassing!

Stayed here for work for 4 nights and had Rodcliff as our bartender. He remembered our names even the next day and always made great conversation. This is a hidden gem and I totally recommend this place.

Decent food, just a little expensive for what you’re paying. Portion size was a bit small, but didn’t taste bad. Our waitress was nice, attentive and she seemed to care about us.

Waited an hour on a burger and fries that never came. Wished I would’ve just DoorDashed some food or went out to get something instead.

20 minutes for two glasses of water20 minutes more for a 25$ shot of Bourbon on the rocks, rocks melted.1 hour for appetizers and dinner to come out at the same time107 total bill for portions and quality of food better served by your local friendlies or Wendy’s.Avoid.

I came here on a business trip and my experience here was not worth it. It took 15 mintues to get seated and then another table got serviced before me and my table. I came here for 2 nights in a row for a chance to redeem themselves and I’ve been disappointed both times. The waiters here aren’t proficient in ensuring our table was okay and up to par. The service is long wait times and just not worth it. I give it a -1000/10 and don’t recommend.

Our waitress was Kee. She ran the entire restaurant part by herself. Right as we got there, the other waiter handed off his section. She was FANTASTIC. One table ordered ,then got into an argument(Kee didn't know this) and left. She literally came out a minute later with their stuff and you could just see the defeat, even from across the room. But when she hit our table again, you couldn't tell. We made sure to put her tip directly in her hand because she deserved it. Kee, keep working hard young lady. We seen you and appreciated you.

We came in for dinner tonight and to watch the second half of the Cowboys-Patriots football game, as this is a sports bar. We were seated and the waiter comes by our table 10 minutes later. We placed our order & asked him to put the Cowboys-Patriots game on, on the tv in front of us. He said he would have to check with his manager. Some time goes by and an older member of the staff walks over to the TV, then starts to walk away. We got his attention and asked him to change the channel to the game. He said "the game is over". I responded saying the second half just started. He then says "the score is 28-3. The game is pretty much over at this point". I told him we came here (a sports bar) to watch the rest of this game. He said he was going to talk to someone name Coleman about it and walked away. 15 minutes goes by and nobody comes over & the game we wanted to see was never put on, so we just left. The experienced here today made it clear to us to say "we'll get to you when we get to you and we're not making any special effort to accommodate the game you want to see". An additional note: we went to Twenty-Two Stories next door and they took our order and put our game on immediately. Their server also continuously checked on us; a night & day difference from High Velocity

Making a Way With Us

We entered as soon as they opened and sat at the bar bc we had an event at the hotel. It took awhile to get our food. People after us got their food and payed. The servers were focusing on one side of the bar. A customer next to us had to get up and ask for help. The worse part of the visit is my sister's glass was cut and she swallowed glass. The managers never came over and apologized, they kept looking over at us. The food was good but lukewarm. Other customers next to us was complaining about cold food. Again this was shortly after opening. Would not recommend.

Hated it. (Ate during Dragoncon with limited menu).I make it a point to eat there every year. I have loved it every year previous. Last year, they had a couple issues but this year was a disaster. If I'm paying $20 for a hamburger (which is ridiculous to begin with anyway), you had better at least cook it to order. It was served with chips.....no fries. Who the hell doesn't get fries with a $20 hamburger? Let me assure you...this was one of those frozen hamburger patties you buy in bags of 30 from Costco. Also, the beers were $13....FOR A BOTTLE.I am SO disappointed in that restaurant and we won't go back again. I'm totally down with a limited con menu. If you can't serve the full menu, ok. But don't turn a place that is ostensibly fine dining into a mall burger shop and charge me TWICE what they charge at the mall for the same burger WITH fries, also not cooked to order. The person with us ordered the tiny nachos, added chicken, and had a mixed drink. Her bill was $56. Explain that to me.I hope someone from DC shares this feedback with High Velocity. In addition to the other issues we had, as Titanium Members, we will be calling Bonvoy. The absolute last straw was the expo server rolling her eyes at us when I pointed out that I didn't get the side salad I was told I could have in lieu of the chips due to a paprika allergy. Her attitude was terrible. She slammed my plate down on the table in front of me and has no business in public service.Although we were there for a convention, I urge all travelers to avoid it.
