I believe we arrived right around the brunch-to-dinner switch, and the transition was definitely felt in the service. The gentleman working brunch was fantastic—I've seen him during lunch service as well, and he's always consistently kind, accommodating, and attentive. He's a standout. Unfortunately, the bartender who took over did not seem ready to work. She appeared disheveled, visibly irritated, and genuinely put out by our presence. Her attitude and service were far below standard—frankly, it was one of the worst experiences I've had here. Every request felt like a burden to her, and the long wait times and lack of hospitality didn't go unnoticed. It honestly came across as if she'd rather be anywhere else, possibly recovering from the night before. She even made a comment at one point that he always leaves the bar a mess when she takes over As a local who dines here regularly, I was disappointed—especially because I brought a friend who also lives nearby and was excited to introduce her to the spot. Sadly, she was underwhelmed by the experience and I'm not sure she'll be eager to return. I'm sharing this feedback with the hope that service standards can remain consistent—especially for those of us who support the place regularly and want to continue bringing guests.

I sent this review immediately after dining at hobnob. The noise level was ear splitting. You acknowledged my displeasure and sent me a note that included an invitation for a free meal. I appreciate that and seem to have misplaced the offer. Would you be willing to send it to me again. Thank you Jackie Sherman

The only issue that we had was that the restaurant was short staffed on a Friday night. They only had two servers for the main dining room and one for the bar. We ended up sitting in the bar because of that issue, which was fine. The one server for that area did very well.

I didn't receive what I ordered. I asked the waitress to send it back and the second time the order was still wrong.

Everything was enjoyable except the time we had to wait for the server to greet us after being seated. We waited about 10 min before being greeted.

I am never disappointed when I go to Hob Nob. I had the brunch menu and ordered the omelet meal. It was perfectly prepared and tasted great. I liked the live music. It helped to add to the overall ambience. The weather was great and having the dining area open to the outside added to my enjoyment. Our server was responsive and genuinely friendly. I will be back!

Super cool atmosphere. Had the doors open so lots of fresh air! Cool vibe, lots of games to watch on the TVs. Food was good and price was affordable.

The service was excellent. The food was just OK but I did think that the atmosphere in general was nice. I would go back for that.

This place is more miss than hit when it comes to service. Sat at the bar. First off, there was no bartender behind the bar. Took 10 minutes for one to show up. Speed well had a lot of orders due to lack of bartender. Took another 15 minutes to have the bartender realize I was there.
For the prices you are paying for food and beverage, it's inexcusable to have nobody behind the bar for more than 5 minutes and not have multiple bartenders on a known crowded night.
I know it's hard to be in the service industry these days, but there's no excuse for lack of fundamentals.

Not much has changed. Service is still an absolute disaster. Everybody at the bar is more concerned with talking than actual service. The price (both physical and experience)is not worth it at all. With the amount of empty seats in the restaurant, there is NO excuse for lack of service.
I'm not against servers and bartenders having a good time and chatting up the patrons, however, there's a time for that and when the ticket printer has 5 tickets in it is NOT the time.

We had a reservation for four people, and were meeting another couple at the restaurant. When we arrived the hostess told us we did not have a reservation, but I checked my phone and it was clearly on there. She seated us and we waited for the other couple to arrive. After 10 minutes, they walked over from another part of the restaurant - they had been seated under our reservation (used it when they checked in) right before us, and then finally realized we were in different areas. How in the world could the hostess have messed this up? Then our waitress was so inattentive we had to ask someone else to get her so we could order, after waiting 10 minutes or more to do so. It was not busy so we don't know what happened to her. The food was fine, what you would expect, but the service was so frustrating that it was a bad experience. And then of course she stands there with the handheld machine waiting for the tip and it's so awkward ...

Salmon, brussel sprouts, and fried cauliflower are great. Tomato bisque soup is good. Servers are friendly. Burgers are really good!
