Don’t let the nondescript faded sign in the strip mall fool you—this place is an absolute gem! We’ve made it our go-to sushi spot because the fish is always incredibly fresh, the service is fast and friendly, and the quality never disappoints.
The atmosphere inside is simple but clean and pleasant—nothing fancy, just really solid food in a relaxed setting. We highly recommend the Caribbean roll and the spicy tuna roll—so fresh and flavorful every single time.
If you’re a sushi lover in Atlanta, do yourself a favor and give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed!

I recently placed a to-go lunch order at your restaurant and wanted to share some feedback about my experience.
I attempted to call around 12:20 PM to place the order but was unable to reach anyone despite trying multiple times. As a result, I had to come in and wait for the order to be prepared.
Additionally, I noticed that the lunch menu, which typically includes both soup and salad, now only comes with soup. Since I’m not a fan of soup, I requested to substitute it with a salad but was informed that this was not possible. I found this lack of flexibility disappointing, especially since a part of the usual offering was removed.
I understand that policies are in place, but accommodating small customer requests—like a substitution in this case—can go a long way in enhancing the overall dining experience. I truly enjoy your food and hope you’ll consider this feedback to provide a more customer-friendly experience in the future.

Nestled on the edge of Vinings in the Riverside Shopping Center is a great sushi restaurant, Hoki Japanese Restaurant.
This intimate setting is great for lunch or dinner. Sushi isn't the only thing on the menu, as their kitchen has a great offering (try the hamachi kama). Always remember to check the specials board next to the sushi bar for appetizer, nigiri & sashimi, and roll specials.
Recommended dishes: Miso or Shoyu Ramen, Spicy Tuna Roll, Volcano, Ruby Red, Live Scallop, Makimono
This place is really really good.

The food was average, but prices were premium considering the nigiri pieces and rolls were in the small side.

We were a party of 5. We all really enjoyed everything we ordered. Service was fantastic. Sushi/sashimi very fresh and no skimpy portions. Sooo glad we found this spot! Serving items you cant find at most sushi restaurants.

It seems they have new owners and they have lowered the quality of the food, yet charge the same. I was looking forward to having lunch at what used to be one of my favorite sushi spots due to its high quality sushi and authenticity, but it is no longer. I noticed a bit of the change before but now I can’t tell the difference between them and any of the cheap Americanized sushi spots. The salmon tasted farm raised and the other selections of fish didn’t taste fresh. It was bad enough that the old time staff had changed and now the quality. Very disappointed.

Absolutely disgusting. I ordered the super crunch roll and it tasted like fish food. The inside of the sushi was greasy with an unpleaseant color. Definitely not the super crunch roll you’re used to getting anywhere else. The masago should be orange and the tempura flakes shouldn’t taste remotely close to food I would feed to a fish in a tank.
