We got the comfy chicken biscuit and the chef omelette with a side of French toast. All were delicious. I prefer a bit more of a spicy/more sausage forward gravy but the chicken and biscuit was solid. The omelette was on point and the French toast was a slice of heaven.

There was a time I would’ve called this one of the best restaurants in Atlanta. I used to eat with my crew on lunch here everyday with the understanding that a couple of us would bring our own lunch. There’s no telling how much money I’ve spent here with friends and family over the years. A few months ago, our server yelled us out of the restaurant cause a couple of us brought food. I guess they care less about community and more about taking your money than I originally thought.

Down-home breakfast spot that feels like your grandma’s kitchen with better coffee. The comfy chicken biscuit is a monster — flaky, buttery, a little messy, but worth it. Staff moves fast, everyone’s chatting, and it’s got that real Atlanta soul food energy without trying too hard.

We absolutely love coming to Homegrown! Both breakfast and lunch menus are terrific! The ambience is very funky in a good way…from the collection of VW buses to their gigantic sticker collection it is fun and entertaining!
All the servers seem sincerely interested in making sure the customers are happy. And we always are! By the way, The place is bigger than it looks from the outside but it’s usually quite busy. Worth the wait if it’s required!

We went during a busy time and tho the rule to only be seated once your party is all here was annoying, everything else was great. Homey atmosphere and good food and service and I LOVE the clearly marked vegetarian options. I was able to make a vegan plate! Got vegan sausage just egg and home fries.

Out son who lives in the area had been wanting us to eat here and enjoy real Southern Comfort food. The restaurant is a quaint restaurant on Memorial Drive in Atlanta. Once arrived, we were immediately seated. There was a bar to sit at as well as table seating. The waitress was as sweet as can be and very helpful. Nothing like Southern Hospitality. The restaurant has the feeling of a simpler time.

The menu is breakfast/ lunch. I chose the fried chicken on a biscuit with sausage gravy (Comfy Chicken Biscuit). It was so good. The coffee was almost addicting. Portions are huge. I did bring half home.

Love to return next time I am in Atlanta

This place is a gem! My dad told me this place has some good food and man was he 10/10 for this recommendation. If you are looking to get some “home cooked” meals then this is your spot.

The food is too good! I usually order the chicken tender meal that comes with grits, eggs, and a huge crispy pancake. The portions are enough to share! The chicken is fried crispy! The grits are standard. Not made it though cause you can just season to your liking. My boyfriend enjoys their bacon too. It’s hard to choose another menu item because the OG is so good.

The staff is friendly but if it is busy they will rush you will so the next people can sit down.

What more needs to be said other than Comfy Chicken Biscuit! I'm sure the other item on the menu are great but when I come, or bring others who are from out of town, the CCB is what I'm getting and what I tell them to order.

Super charming diner. Very friendly severs. They are happy to modify dishes and substitute as needed. Very affordable prices, good value and portion sizes. My husband loves the comfy chicken biscuit. While they do not have gluten free bread or waffles, they can accommodate various entries. I had the 2-egg, bacon dish and subbed out the grits and biscuit for home fries and strawberries.

One of my absolute favorite places in Atlanta. Service is always A+, food comes out fast and hot. Even if there is a long wait once you are seated the food is coming to you quickly and fresh. Havnt had a subpar meal there. And it seems to only get better. Always enjoy their seasonal specials and comfy chicken biscuits should be the state bird of ga.
