The gelato is amazing and the waffle cone in a cup makes it even better. The service was great. I recommend coming here if you want some ice cream after walking around the market. The only problem was there wasn’t much seating and we had to walk a while to find seating.
Friendly staff, amazing gelato
Rude people here!!!
This place has the absolute best dairy free options - I couldn’t believe it didn’t have lactose until later that day when my stomach didn’t hurt lol! The employee working was so so sweet and kind (sorry I didn’t get your name)
Genuinely the best ice cream I have ever had. The peanut butter is so thick. Like they somehow got the flavors so accurately, then put toppings on top. They aren’t just relying on the toppings to portray the flavor, the actual base of the ice cream is so flavorful
The peanutbutter cup was soo good!!! Reminds me of Italy!!!
Some of the best ice I’ve ever had. I’m back home in Florida now and I just NEED one down here. I had the butter pecan and marshmallow gelato and my friend had the regular vanilla and she loved it too.
Pretty good variety of flavors, though the cookie sandwich is not really worth it given how basic and overpoweringly sweet the cookies are.
I am sad to say that charlotte does not have the best vegan scene (but we are trying). So I was pleasantly surprised to find delicious vegan gelato in Optimist Hall! I had the chocolate brownie, and I can honestly say that it is the flavor I would have picked if everything on offer had been vegan. It was delicious. ♥️
The gelato was delicious, we recommended the chocolate, mint and raspberry. When we arrived there was a small line that moved quickly. Offered around 16 different flavors. My sugar cone was a little stale. They provided us with napkins. The interior design created a relating environment. We recommend this place. Not the best gelato we’ve had, but overall pretty good. 👍

So mid ngl
Honeysuckle is a great, quick gelato option in Optimist Hall. When I visited, they had two vegan options — ube and chocolate sorbet. I decided on the ube which had the taste of marshmallow fluff. It was fun and colorful. I appreciate that they label all of their choices with allergy ingredients. As such, it was easy to tell which had non-diary and non-eggs. I recommend Honeysuckle for a quick treat to hit your sweet tooth if you are in the area. Updated from previous review on 2025-03-17
Delicious ice-cream. When my payment didn’t work, he gave it to me for free! So nice and friendly. Definitely recommend

Had a quick sweet treat today. We really enjoyed the raspberry gelato that we tried. The service was very quick and kind. We definitely will stop back next time we visit Ponce.

One of the staff members deliberately coughed into the cup while I wasn’t looking before serving me the gelato. My friend had seen it and asked them for a new one for me. The one that purposefully coughed in my cup and the other staff member insisted that “it was a joke” and that “it was ok” instead of just replacing it immediately. I had no intention of eating any of it so we asked for a refund since they didn’t want to replace it. At the very least, I got the refund, but it was such poor and disappointing customer service.
It is beyond me why they thought coughing on food for customers during flu and covid season was a “joke” and “ok”. I even wondered if it was an anti-Asian hate crime. Hopefully, this review encourages everyone to at least watch them as they prepare your food if you decide to go.
