Hop's Chicken

Been here about 4 times now because I work in the area. Every time I come there is always so many issues with ordering. Their payment machine never takes or accepts my cards. Food is over priced and honestly it’s ok but not the best it’s not worth the hassle of ordering. They really need to get a new payment machine. Employees are super nice but something needs to change with the checkout!

Very disappointing and expensive! We paid almost $12 dollars for a single chicken sandwich. Plus with the default 20% tip, we paid $16. The sandwich was tiny and DRY. Have they ever tried their own chicken??? And the chicken didn't even cover all of the bun and had a giant hole in it where 3 pickles sat-- it was so sad, you couldn't help but laugh. You can get a better sandwich at chick fil a, Popeyes, or literally anywhere else for a fraction of the price. And if you want to pay over $12+, there's so many better options.

not nasty, just so so so dry. nothing more to add because the subpar reviews are fairly accurate. expensive for something you can get up the street at zaxbys lol

Absolutely the WORST and MOST EXPENSIVE chicken sandwich I have ever had. I have been coming to Ponce Market for years always wanting to eat at this restaurant. What a mistake. Chicken was so dry. Seemed like it had been under a warmer for days. The roll that was served was so STALE it broke apart in pieces. All of this for $22+. Do yourself a favor. Stay away from this place.

The staff was wonderful both times that I ate at Hops and the chicken was great. Love Ponce City Market and I will definitely eat at Hops again.

Vibes are perfect. Love their mac n cheese and their chicken. Their ranch is amazing aswell! Just one kiosk open though so the line too like 30 minutes

This place is devoid of any semblance of customer service, employees are not polite.

Quality of food is mediocre at best…stale bun and cheap cheese.

Skip this place and walk 20 feet to H&F Burgers for an infinity better meal and service.

Does this look like $6 worth of tater tots? Hop’s seems to think so. The first time I visited Hops’s 2-3 months ago, my tator tots came in a small brown box (the normal brown box I’ve seen many other restaurants put their side fries/tots in). No complaints there. Today I visited Hop’s for the second time and was very surprised that my bag felt so light. I genuinely thought I picked up someone else’s bag. When the employee at the counter confirmed those were my tots, I opened the top and LOLd. 13 tots costs $6 in 2025??? That’s wild.

The employee sympathized with my frustration, stating that after their manager saw how many tots were being put in the boxes, they were told to use the white containers moving forward. So…instead of directing employees to not overfill the boxes, customers now receive crumbs for $6? Mind you, the first time I bought the side of tots, the box closed perfectly fine. It was not overfilled. It was a normal side of tator tots that I felt justified in buying for $6. What I received today was so laughable. Of course I asked for a refund, but since the employee gave me an additional container, I accepted it and moved forward with my day. Y’all got me today!! But never again.

Female Cashier there at 7:00 on August 18th rude in interested in taking my order. Looked down the entire tire I was speaking to her. I ask for bbq sauce none, no coleslaw no tater tots. I asked what was available because some things not available every time I asked. I was looking forward to having the food but oh well. I won’t go back. There are so many other places to eat in the area why go for bad service and limited menu.

got the chicken biscuit. a bit pricey but we got a giant piece of chicken that was seasoned well.

The chicken and Mac was good. The collard greens needed some help.

Chicken sandwich was disappointing - dry and tasteless. Not even that much food. I'd rather have fast food. Employee was rude when my companion asked about their ranch.

Too bad, really, I was looking forward to trying this place out.
