The wife and i sporadically dropped in for a late night dinner. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Shout out to James! But overall the ramen impressed- I would recommend giving them a shot over Jinya or Okiboru. I’d put them on par with kintori- but Hotto certainly has its own American flare.

I’ve been here several times and usually sit at the bar where the lady bartender provides great service. Tonight was completely different — and easily the worst experience I’ve had here.
•The young man working the bar was more interested in his phone and making inappropriate jokes with a female staff member than serving customers. He couldn’t have cared less about the guests, and I’ve never seen someone so present and absent at the same time. It was extremely frustrating — I couldn’t tell if he was simply clueless and incompetent, or if he just didn’t care and was ready to go. In the (if I return) I will call and confirm who’s there first.
•I sat without a menu for 5 minutes.
•The Moscow Mule I ordered never came.
•When food arrived, I (along with others) had to ask for silverware — basic service that should never be overlooked.
•I distinctly overheard another party’s order; he got it wrong, then acted clueless when they questioned it.
•To top it off, the ramen I always order — usually reliable — was terrible tonight.
Everything about this experience was off and frankly unacceptable. If this is the direction of service, this staff will run the place out of business. I had my mouth set for ramen and left completely disappointed.

Wen today with my double Brother (🤙🏽, IYKYK) for late lunch. The service was outstanding, server attentive yet not intrusive, food (tofu veggie fried rice for this vegetarian) plentiful and exquisite. It was my first time here but won’t be my last.
Great food and service. Definitely one of my favorites. Favorite dish Spicy Shaved Ribeye Ramen and Dumplings.

This is my first ever review because my wife and I absolutely loved this place and we’ll definitely be coming back. They were very accommodating to some allergies and the food was served very promptly. Really attentive and the service was truly great.
I highly recommend the pork fried rice and the spicy thinly sliced ribeye (brothless) ramen.
These pictures don’t do it justice!

It was disappointing, no flavor, and I can taste the cookwear on the broth. Staff looked confused and just unaware. Should have known when i saw Mexican in the kitchen and 2x Caucasians running the spot. Teriyaki chicken, vegan Miso ramen, vegan pot sticker 2 beers and 1x margarita. Waste of $
Amazing food - you can tell the food has been crafted by love and years of experience! Hope yall enjoy it as much as we did!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Outstanding Service from Matthew!
I had the absolute pleasure of being served by Matthew during my recent visit to Hotto Hotto, and I can honestly say he made the entire dining experience exceptional from start to finish.
From the moment we were seated, Matthew was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. He took the time to walk us through the menu, offered thoughtful recommendations, and made sure every detail of our order was just right. His timing was perfect—always there when we needed something but never intrusive.
What really stood out was his genuine enthusiasm for the food and the restaurant itself. You can tell Matthew truly enjoys what he does. He even checked in mid-meal to make sure everything was to our liking (it was more than that—it was delicious!), and when we asked for extra spice and a couple of substitutions, he handled it with ease and a smile.
The vibe at Hotto Hotto is already great—cozy, flavorful, and full of energy—but Matthew elevated it even more with his professionalism and charisma. It’s rare to find service that feels both friendly and flawless, but Matthew nails it.
If you’re dining at Hotto Hotto, do yourself a favor and ask for Matthew. He’s a standout in hospitality and made our meal one to remember. Can’t wait to come back!

I love eating here. The ramen broth is amazing, and all the ingredients are so fresh. Great service as well. Best in the neighborhood for sure.

Absolutely adore this place and have for years! The tonkastu ramen is my go too and I always ask for extra broth because I enjoy it that much! It’s also owned by the sweetest women which is always appreciated!
