This place is a gem and has a long standing great reputation! Customers continue to come here for years. When we were here recently we heard the table next to us say they had been to the Imperial Fez 10 years ago and wanted to make sure they came again on their recent visit to Georgia. I have been coming to this restaurant since I was a child when it used to be in Colorado. Then I was lucky enough to find it in Georgia when they relocated here years ago. There is really nothing like it I have found anywhere else (other than Morocco). The owners really care about the quality of their service and food. The food is amazing and decadent - so many great options, its always hard to choose. The 5 course meal is the way to go. The weekends have entertainment with belly dancers, if you want a more boisterous evening. The restaurant really celebrates the atmosphere of bringing people together through great food!

I went here on a quiet sunday night with my mom and my wife. I was curious about this place because of the high reviews so I went there on a quiet Sunday night. No belly dancing on sunday, so we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves.

The woman, master chef Rita's wife, seated us and was extremely nice and welcoming, and she took care of my mom giving her extra pillows. We started out with babaganoush. Wow, amazing. You can instantly tell that the dish had a complexity of flavor that I personally haven't found elsewhere. The soup and the bread were amazing. I ordered the lamb shank with mushrooms (lamb shank and crispy fish are the most popular dishes). When that dish came out, man, that was like nothing I ever had before. The smoked peppers were amazing, the variety of mushrooms, the flavorful sauce, the fall of the bone meat. Incredible.

The co-owner chef Rita came out and greeted us. He ended up sitting at our table for an hour and we were just exchanging stories and he told us about traveling the world and all of his food experiences. We learned so much. He and his wife are so nice and welcoming, and the food is incredible. Throw a dart on anything on the menu and it is amazing. I can go on and on. Thank you chef Rita for coming out to talk to my mom, my wife, and I. We'll be coming back!

The food is terrible, I ordered the beef tenderloin and they were overcooked and the rice tasted off. The five course meal was laughable, I've had better food at Zoes Kitchen. It took about an hour to get drinks after we were seated, some in our party received their main course 30mins after everyone else. Do not recommend this place at all.

Literally the worst experience I've had in a long time. The belly dancing volume is set to 11 so you can't have a single conversation while it is going on. The servers have to be waved down to get anything. The cold appetizer plate took over an hour to get. And it was pita from a bag, inedible babaghanoush, hummus that tasted like bad chickpeas and dolmas from a jar. For $25 too.
The beef tenderloin skewer is $45 for 2 overcooked skewers. The chicken kebabs have zero seasoning.
Avoid this place like the plague

When your really looking forward to exploring a new restaurant and it turns out to be blah.

7pm there exactly 12 customers, 4 members of staff and 1 cook, you all should be able to handle this.
You take our drinks order, only 10 come out.
You take our food order,
nothing was presented together, dishes were left on the table,
drinks weren't filled, food was warm,
to go box was given to me 10 minutes after being served,
no toilet paper the stall.
And $60 for all that..never again.

This was a sooo good, I highly recommend this place!!!!….. the food was great, excellent atmosphere and on top of that I liked the owner/chef going to our table to make sure everything was good, he was very attentive and when we left he also came to say good bye, I thought that was very nice of him, taking the time with customers treated us like if we were long time friends, I loved it!… again, thank you so much for a great time, my husband and I really enjoyed it.

It's just fine. I had really been looking forward to going to this restaurant but the food was just okay. Service was slow. Which was a bit understandable because there was a new hire. But the food also took forever. I'm talking 20 minutes between me getting my entree and my partner getting theirs. Expensive for the portion sizes. And drinks were also expensive for the size and taste.
It wasn't the worst experience. But I won't be returning.

Belly dancer was very kind and made sure to stop by each table. Double her pay.

Not bad, but not like the other location that I thought I was making reservations at. It was hard to understand the guy who seated us and explained the menu to us. I ordered lamb chops with rice and salad. The lamb chops were scrumptious, the rice and salad were just rice and salad, not bad but not delicious. The belly dancer um….I’m not gone give them too much. This location is not my cup of tea, however, others may like it and the lamb chops were definitely worth the visit. Three stars for the food four stars overall for bathroom cleanliness and ample parking. We went on a Saturday night at 8:00 pm.

The good: cool atmosphere, belly dancers, and lively music with people having a good time.

The bad: service was extremely slow. Drinks and food took a long time. Still didn't have my entrée after 2 hours. The food I did taste wasn't great.

I used to love the location in Atlanta (last went maybe 15 years ago) and was excited to come here. Really fun concept that needs a huge improvement to service and food quality. The restaurant treated us fairly and did not charge us full price due to our experience (left early without receiving or eating my entree).

I tried Moroccon food first time in Disney and that turned out to be unexpectedly top notch for me, i was looking for a Moroccan restaurant from sometime after that in Georgia. This restaurant popped up in my google maps search but since I saw that prices were a little high so thought to try it on some special occasion. Me and wifey came on my birthday, we did online reservation which was honestly not needed and it costs 5 dollar per person. I was surprised that on Saturday the restaurant was not packed. Anyways they had quite good authentic ambiance of Morocco, i am not a fan of seeing belly dancing but its part of their culture so it happens there. Anyway coming back to food, our server was nice lady and she recommended us that we go with 5 course meal if we want to try authentic experience so we did that. I chose Lamb shank meal and wifey selected Lamb chops. The 5 course meal was auite good experience, we liked almost everything. Also if I compare it with my Disney experience, it was not even close to thar but let’s not compare for now. There were some pros and cons both that’s why I am keeping this review to 4 stars.

Pros: Good Authentic Ambience, Aurhentic Food, Nice Staff, Good Portions Sizes, Good Service

Cons: Quite expensive, Mandatory gratuity even for 1 person, reservation online costs money, location is not very ideal.

Below are some dishes we ordered with individual ratings

(Since I ordered 5 course meal, the items are same for everyone except main meal)
Orange Drink (forgot name of it) : 7 / 10
Purple Drink: 7 / 10
Soup: 7 / 10
Starters: 7.5 / 10
Appetizers: 8.5 / 10
Meal (lamb shank): 7 / 10
Meal (lamb chops): 8 / 10
Dessert: 5 / 10

Flavor - Star -7.5 / 10
Authenticity of Flavor - Star - 8 / 10
Cleanliness - Star - 8 / 10
Service - Star - 8.5 / 10
Value for Money - No Star - 6 / 10

Suggestion for owner: You guys are doing great, I would just recommend that you should reconsider mandatory gratuity for less that 5 people group.

Suggestion for customer: They have belly dancing going on, so if you have kids, you might not prefer coming with them. They have mandatory gratuity so that adds up as well.

Above format would be best to justify my review so i will hopefully continue to keep this for all my next reviews.
