The service here is is always great but our server, Anna went above and beyond. Her demeanor was so positive and joyous. She was full of suggestions and insightful commentary. I would come back again for the sheer opportunity to chat with her again. We came the next night hoping to see her again but she was off work.

Nice ambiance and staff. First time here, tried the crab dip, it was okay, could have used more flavor. The crab cakes were good. Tried the rattlesnake pasta, that was pretty good as well.

J. Alexander’s has always been one of our favorite restaurants, but I’m sorry to say that this was the second time we have recently been disappointed by our dinner. Three of us shared the spinach con queso appetizer and it was delicious. Then one of us had the French dip sandwich with the macaroni and cheese side, one had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with the macaroni and cheese side, and I had the fresh fish sandwich with the orzo and wild rice side. Both the French dip and the Philly cheesesteak were overly salty, and the macaroni and cheese was surprisingly sweet. My orzo was delicious but my fish sandwich was disappointingly deep fried and overly seasoned. I think it was fish but couldn’t really tell through the salty breading. It seems to me that they have changed their recipes over time to cater to a clientele with tastes that differ significantly from our tastes. I’m very sad to say that we no longer consider J. Alexander’s one of our favorite restaurants.

We visited this location, after my graduation and we got there earlier than expected; we had made a reservation, but when we arrived it wasn’t busy. The young lady at front, changed our reservation and we had a good waiter and our food and drinks was extremely good! At the end, we splitted the check and the waiter added $19 gratuity to each check. It was 5 people; but 3 of us paid, one was a child and the other was the graduate. I am not sure if that is normal; but o.k. It didn’t take anything away from our experience and we will be back!!

I made a reservation here ahead of time, but when I showed up, they claimed they had no table for me. This level of disorganization is unacceptable. Clearly, their reservation system is a mess, and the staff's and manager lack of concern made things worse. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

Reserved for 12 people and when we got there the manager said someone else took our table and that she can’t accommodate us. Glad there’s plenty of restaurants next door :)

1st time here ,my grandson wanted to come here for his birthday it was his 2nd time ,this place was great ,food was some of the best I've had and the service was fantastic, Bry was very nice and really enjoyed talking to her .Will be back soon

What an exceptional place. Alysha (the manager) was so helpful. I had an issue with my order and she immediately took care of it and me. I am so grateful that she made this process so smooth. I told her my issues and she offered solutions. Things are going to always happen out of our control, but how you handle it shows character. Thank you Alysha and team for putting the guest first. And turning a negative experience into a positive one. I will definitely be back to frequent this location.

Food was so good from here I feel inclined to leave a review. Cajun trout with Louisiana rice was the star of the show! Steak was good too.I for sure enjoyed my time here! Service was good and helpful, bathroom was modern and clean. I will be back without a doubt!

The filets are outstanding and not overpriced like most steak houses are today. The baked potatoes are excellent and the mashed potatoes are wonderful and real! The salad was crisp, cold and fresh. Jack and Trene at the bar were great! Thank you for great food that is fairly priced for today’s times.

Just had dinner here tonight. It was absolutely delicious! Definitely gotta try the steak Maui, is fantastic. Ribeye is nice and juicy and the pineapple marinade is to die for it. Also, don’t forget the loaded baked potato. Caesar salad and cheese spinach dip is phenomenal. Steak was cooked perfectly. Also, do not leave without getting the carrot cake, it is divine! Definitely got to give these folks a try.

Everything was amazing from the service all the way to the food. I had a burger and man when i say this burger was tasty and juicy omg. I want to give a shoutout to Tim; he through down on that grill. Best burger i've had.

Jack was phenomenal! I will visit again just to experience his service. I loved every recommendation and enjoyed my first time visiting this restaurant. I most definitely recommend and will revisit!!!!
