This is a favorite watering hole for me but hadn’t been in a while. Had the new salmon Philly, it was great. The drinks have definitely changed. Not for the better. I was told they have a new bartender. Our waiter Kirrel was the absolute best. The patio allows cigar smoking which is a plus and a live band starts at 8pm on Fridays.

I ordered a single order of wings on Wednesday, March 12th if I could give 0 stars I would they’re food gave me straight FOOD POISONING!!!! It is Friday March 14th I’m just now recovering not to mention I’m also 31 weeks pregnant 0/10 I highly don’t recommend!!!

Although part of me wants to mark the service provided as a 3⭐️, the young lady who helped us did the best she could considering she was the only server available and she was the bartender. The rest of the experience was less than impressive. Well, outside of the fact that the facility including the bathroom was clean & updated when considering the age of the building.
As far as the rest... I ordered the mixed greens salad, which they must have run out of greens so the cook decided it was OK to substitute with romaine - was barely edible and was served in a cracked wooden bowl. The crab legs were presented well but may have been freezer-burned and lacked flavor. I didn't get sick so I count it as a win.
My son (who had the idea of coming here), ordered a burger with a side of wings. I forget the name of the sauce on the wings, but I believe it's one of their signature flavors, it was yummy. But the burger was lacking. He says that he has been here before and he enjoyed the fish and wings and that is why he wanted to return. Nonetheless, those might be the only things worth trying.
Outside of that, I enjoyed the music, so if I ever wanted to go to a day bar on the Westside I would consider returning. Thankfully that is not something I find myself doing.

A Sunday afternoon 1st week of February. 2 other couples patroning the establishment. Thats all. The loud and obnoxious server proceeded to inform us that a 20% gratuity would be added to our ticket. Minutes later she came back with her unprofessional self and stated we could avoid the 20% gretuity if we self serve using their QR Code. Never have I. Did I mention the service was an absolute 0 out of 10. I try to order my food using self service and they're not able to apply my military discount and my Gpay was malfunctioning. We left and we will nevaaaa return. I can thank the server for inspiring this review.
5 Stars! So last night I went to JR crickets and they, for the first time ever had a band it was awesome. Please invite this band back and have more events. Now you know. Cha-Cha the karaoke vixen, is always on point.

Went for a work party for a friend’s job as their plus one, and it was really good food and the ambiance was nice. We had a separate party room for our event that made things that much better! Thank you to the two servers that took care of us!

THE STAFF WAS SOOO ATTENTIVE !!! BABEEE I FORGOT TO ASK FOR ALL FLAT WINGS & WHEN U TELL U THE WINGS WERE SOOOOO GOOD IT AINT EVEN MATTER!! THE MALE MANAGER WAS AMAZING AND SERVICED OUR DRINKS AND FOOD..WE DIDNT HV TO ASK FOR NOTHING AUSW THEY MADE SURE WE HAD EVERYTHING NEED FOR GREAT BAR DINNING EXPERIENCE! 10/10 I WOULD GO ALL THE WAY ACROSS TOWN FOR THIS LOCATION!!

I’ve never had any complaints about the food, but I wish the service were better. Every time I come in to order, it feels like I’m bothering them. No greeting, no smile—just a transaction. I don’t think this is an issue with all JR Crickets, though. I once visited a location that had chess boards—can’t recall exactly where—but the atmosphere and service were noticeably better. Funny enough, that visit was years ago, yet I still remember how it felt. That just goes to show how much service and ambiance can leave a lasting impression—more than the food itself, because I don’t even remember how it tasted.

I’m just curious how if the Atlanta sales tax is only 8.9% then why is theirs over 11%??? Simple things like that make me feel like I’m getting robbed smh
