Not sure why this place is rated so low. Jamrock is INCREDIBLE! Literally the best Jamaican food I've ever had in my life! A lovely family owned business. The father and son were crushing it! Not only are they so kind but they gave us fresh, made to order Jamaican food and made us feel at home. Literally so authentic. I had the fish plate with all the fixings and my husband had the oxtail. Let me tell you: that fish, that fish was incredibly tender with the best, can't describe kind of sauce that was flavorful and had some spice that was not overpowering but was just right. The best rice and beans came with it too and they pickled their cabbage. Wow! So delicious and filling! The oxtail. OH. MY. GOSH. Wow! Tender, succulent, great spice and flavor, just incredible! Jamrock Restaurant is such a hidden gem. There is no other place like it. If you want authentic, fresh Jamaican food and amazing, warm and friendly service, come to Jamrock restaurant! Can't wait to come back! They really should get a Michelin star. I'm telling you, that good! Incredible! Come to Jamrock Restaurant!! So good! :)

I'm from Miami, so I've eaten lots of authentic Jamaican food, and this was nothing like it. Food was VERY bland! I waited extra time for the "Rasta pasta" and I read excited since it would be so fresh. Couldn't wait to try it. When I opened it, it was just spaghetti noodles w/uncooked onions, green peppers and broccoli. No jerk seasoning, unsalted, just bland. I also ordered the Brown Stew chicken, which was not flavorful at all. I've made brown stew chicken better than this at home. I really just wasted my money there. The lady that took my order was very sweet though and I'm always happy to support a black owned business. However, My money would've been better spent giving it to a homeless person. Very disappointed.

Having Jamaican roots myself, I've often found that subpar customer service can sometimes lead to discovering hidden culinary gems. However, my recent experience at this establishment was quite the opposite. Invited for lunch by a business associate, I was disappointed right from the outset. The staff, particularly one individual, displayed a noticeable attitude problem. As a visitor, I cannot in good conscience recommend this place. The food, including the curry chicken and jerk chicken featured in the images below, was passable at best. To compound matters, the washroom was out of order, and the beverage fountain .

Delicious! I had the Curry Chicken. I opted for the rice with beans, cabbage, and sauce on my rice. It was excellent! The meat just melted off the bone. I didn’t need a knife at all, just a plastic fork. The staff are friendly and helpful. They have a selection of Jamaican soft drinks and juices. I had a pineapple soda. It was great! There’s not a ton of seating so when it gets busy you’ll have to get your food to go. What a gem!

Like many others, I don't usually write reviews (Unless you are exceptionally great OR horribly bad). Well this food I ordered from Jamrock is the ABSOLUTE WORST Jamaican food I have had in my entire life. The Chicken Soup tasted bad. The Escoveitch Snapper, rice and Peas, and the plantains were all very dry. Even the Coco bread wasn't right...didn't have that underlying sweet taste. The beef patty also was dry and hard around the edges, as though it had sat in the warmer all day. I was very disappointed in my whole order. Worst 40 dollars I have ever spent.

Spicy and savory! Anytime I'm in the city, I take the chance to go there and grab some good jerk chicken. Good food and good people!

I love Jamaican and this is the worst place. Like I threw my food out… the rice tasted old and the curry chicken tasted like a lot of salt… the people are nice tho.

This location Definitely isn’t the one that I was expecting food from. It’s not good at all. ? Overcooked rice, brown stew chicken was the most tasteless and un seasoned that I have had in life. Cabbage was blah, patty’s no good. Coca bread ok cause they didn’t make it. In any state or in any place in Jamaica. They should definitely be ashamed to take peoples money like this. Save yourself some money and try the one on metropolitan or eat somewhere else. I hope they are able to turn this restaurant around. Perhaps it’s surviving cause of UberEats and people don’t know any better at first…. Like me.

I am so amazed. The food was FRESH, so delicious and more than enough! I'd been going to their Moreland location before they closed that one and rode by this location today. Decided to stop in (thankfully)!!! I ordered jerk chicken, rice + pea, Mac and cheese, collards and plantains. Also noticed they had sorrel and HAD to get it, as a lot of other places don't make their sorrel in-house. I wasn't disappointed about a SINGLE THING! Please check them out! You will definitely want to go back!!! Cant wait to take my mom + friends!

Food is salty and soggy. Service is abrasive as well which I can usually look past if the food is good. It’s not.
