Me and my family have been coming here for over 15 years. I had to make a account just to speak to this place. Within the community of Atlanta the atmosphere and warm welcome whether it’s rain or shine has made everyone I know love it here. Today was one of the last days we can eat here because of it closing and I just wanted to say thank you for always being such a wonderful place of business.

I went here on 12/11/2024. I got the delicious Pecan Waffle and Buttermilk Pancakes with butter and syrup. I would have got a Gingerbread Waffle also it's only available on Saturday and Sunday. This place has been open for 30 years. Sadly it's going to close on 12/22/2024. Delicious food for real. The health score is a 100. Come by before they close.

I go here for periodic breakfast meetup with a friend who loves the place. I find the food just okay. Sort of basic...the home fries could be excellent for example if they added (some or more) onions garlic n peppers n spicing..n fried them longer. Instead they're usually just bland. N a bit undercooked...tho msybe cuz we come in right when it opens? They also take only cash which in the year 2024 is both odd and annoying if you haven't gone to an ATM in a while

Shelia is the best I stop in for regularly and she’s always pleasant. The staff is amazing as well!
The food was delicious and all of the wait staff were very friendly! Great atmosphere with the setting of an old time breakfast spot.

Parking: I walked from across the street. But there didn't seem to be much parking.

I haven't been here since pre 2020 and I'm delighted to see it's still here and still good! The Gingerbread Waffle is still AMAZING. The server was really sweet, and it's bigger than I remember!

I recently visited Java Jive, and while the food was just okay, the service was disappointing. The staff, for the most part, was fine, but the guy at the register (also the host) really soured the experience for me. He was dismissive and didn’t make me feel welcome at all. With so many other options around, I won’t be returning.

The biscuits everyone talks about are Good! In fact they should take the spotlight more, because the rest was mediocre. 2 scrambles and no one taught the cook how to season food; they were decisively 2 quite bland scrambles. I Love scrambles… I do not love these, and they can be had much more deliciously at dozens of local and chain restaurants throughout the area. The wheat germ pancakes were solid, and I did enjoy them, but I wouldn’t drive into ATL for them again. Potentially the most underwhelming coffee I’ve ever had, an absolutely the worst I’ve ever had a local diner or coffee shop. It might be the same coffee you’d find in a gas station with no brand recognition.
4.4⭐️ is unfortunately overrated It could be fixed, probably with just a new cook and a new coffee provider.
