Popped in for a drink and warm place to work for a while and absolutely loved the place. Excellent Chai Latte and Hot Apple Cider. Great music that wasn't too loud to still be able to work. Staff where super chill and friendly. Had outside seating and comfortable tables inside. Gender-neutral bathrooms were a great plus.
Parking: Public parking behind the building large enough to fit a 30' rig.

Its 10:15 a.m, 01/16/25. I sat in my seat to make a quick call, no more than 2 minutes, I was approached by the guy working the counter, who began to harrass me about what I was doing. I've been coming to Java Lords for a while and this has never happenned and seem racially motivated as their were white people there and I was the only American African seating. He asked what I was doing, I responded by saying I was waiting for my ride (which wasnt far away), he pressed me about buying coffee and since I wasnt buying for the short duration of time I was there, then told me I had to leave. This has never been a problem from anyone else (not from Nat, or from the gentlemen with the long hair). He was white with a rather Jewish appearence, which I try not to assume the motivation but it did seem very racially stimulated. I definitely will not be back and will share my experience, as well as the appearence of this individual. Little 5 has always seemed welcoming to all walks of life but I guess that time is up for Java Lords and how they treat their customers. I'll never come back...

Walked in after a long run. Asked the barista if they took tap to pay and she replied “Great job reading!” Because there was a small sign on the counter that said they do not accept tap to pay. Easy overlook. Don’t know why she has a chip on her shoulder, but it was a very unnecessary comment that will make me never return. As well as communicating this with friends in the community in Lil 5.

My name is Greg. My niece and I got to the area early for a concert at the variety playhouse. We noticed homeless guy yelling and screaming near there. We moved to the bench in front of Java. We were just minding our business and this guy comes over and starts yelling at us and trying to get our attention. The more we ignored him, the more agitated he became. It was ok until he pulled out a dart and said he could put it in my rib. My 18 year old niece was scared by this. We immediately got up and went into Java. Upon telling Mike what was going on he ran the guy off and let us know we could stay in there if we wanted to. Ari also got involved and they called the police and made sure our safety was top priority. I don't even drink coffee, but will definitely recommend this to anyone that will be in the area. They both went above and beyond and that isn't something I'm going to forget. Top notice service to Mike and Ari. I wanted people to know.

Delicious espresso! Definitely the best I’ve tried in the south. I asked the barista/bartender what espresso they use and they’d told me the owner roasts their own beans and that they switch roast methods depending on the coffee harvest. I can’t wait to come back to Atlanta just for this coffee ☕️
