Had to try before they move to another location in 2023. Chicken satay ($15) is tender and delicious. 5 sticks with good portion of chicken on each. Steak banh mi ($15) is good. Their famous fried chicken ($30) comes with 4 pieces of dark meat and a bowl of Cole Slaw is also very good. The only thing is the prices. The only reason I haven't visited until now. With 20% gratuity added lunch for two came out to be $77 without any drinks. I'm glad I tried and best of luck with the relocation.

The space is absolutely gorgeous, the food is delicious, and the service is super friendly. I went for brunch and had the crab Rangoon, the papaya salad, the Turkish Egg Bread, and the chicken biscuit.Crab Rangoon was beautiful, the dipping sauce was delicious, the filling creamy and flavorful.Papaya salad, beautiful presentation, tangy, sweet, fresh, flavorful, and super yumTurkish Egg Bread, decadent, gorgeous, delicious, and so amazing.Chicken biscuit - tender, sweet and lightly spicy (I have a really high spice tolerance so your experience may vary). Biscuit was yummy and I kept dipping it in the chili crisp glaze.Definitely a must visit place in ATL

I visited Juniper Cafe on a Sunday for brunch around 1pm with a friend in the newly created westside area. Lots of free parking and a really convenient and cute location. However, as soon as we entered the door the experience went downhill fast. We didn't have a reservation but there were tons of empty tables. The hostess didn't engage until I said hello to her and was pretty dismissive. Once I asked for a table of two, she said it would be 5-10 minutes and would text us. We didn't get a table until 15-20 minutes later, keep in mind still quite a few open tables. Once seated, we waited 20 minutes before a waitress came over and throughout the brunch, there would be constant delay in service. We waited at least 40 minutes for food but prior to that, we were given complimentary drinks and asked again what we ordered with no explanation for the delay. Like thank you for the drinks, but why have I waited so long for food?? Finally, once we ate, we waited another 30 minutes for the check. At that point, we were frustrated and I asked a server walking by to get my server so we could get a check. She rolled her eyes but found our server who I let know about our frustration. After speaking with our server who also happened to be a manger, she explained technical issues and apologized for the constant delay and lack of communication. Our food was comped, and we promptly left. I'm empathetic to technical issues and lack of staff, but for such a small location, none of that justifies the rude and dismissive service. The food was good but I will not be back. I wish Juniper Cafe luck and hope they can solve these internal issues in such a competitive market.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The ambiance is very classy with a 70s feel. Their menu is a fabulous Asian fusion blend with tons of soul and flavor! We had the Chinese chicken biscuit and it was absolutely buttery, flavorful, and the perfect blend of southern and Asian. Their Vietnamese coffee is fabulous as well. We wish we could've eaten more! We would 100% come back and recommend this spot to family and friends :)

Celebrating our 5th monthiversary my husband & I decided to try something new. Juniper Cafe did not disappoint. The upbeat and vibrant open decor lifted our spirits and set the tone for their unique menu. "Let them eat cake!" is our motto so we went for Almond Croissants first- they were perfectly made and as per my hubby, "the best he's had". The almonds were generous and flavor Natural, you can tell they took their time in making these from scratch (flakey and golden brown) using quality ingredients and not cheap flavoring. Worth all the calories sacrificed to have this In the spirit "something new" - we went with the BEC rolls and while i loved the egg roll crust, I did not like the American cheese- and cheese would have made this better- the "amercian cheese" felt like a last minute selection and did not play well with the dip. Next time I'll have the Crab Rangoon(It was my first choice but I changed my mind at the last minute) I opted for the Pho- beef broth, noodles, beef slices.. I did enjoy the warmth, hearty but lite meal on a Sunday afternoon. It was tasty, and the lime help cut the intensity of the beefy broth. On the next visit I would ask to have the greenery on the side so I could control the amount of cilantro added. Overall, I am very happy to have dined here on our special day.

I've heard really great things about this place and the inside was adorable. The sign outside isn't the most inviting but once you walk in you're in a little pastel cafe. Sit outside it's covered and warm! We ordered the papaya salad which had a kick to it and I mean a KICK. It was good with all the nuts and starfruit but I wasn't aware it was going to be spicy! The rangoons were great and super fresh. The filling was soft and light vs your typical Rangoon that's super heavy feeling. There was this spicy chicken special with curry potatoes. The potato's were to die for! The chicken was too spicy for me but my fiancé had a flavor blast! If you like the spice get that chicken! After dinner there was a little walk up cafe inside we ordered a cappuccino and it was cheaper than Starbucks! Tasted like a little European cafe very impressed!

Southern asian fusion is my new favorite thing! This place has the best way to combine some great food with some great flavor profiles. The entire place was a great brunch setting and our server was so helpful giving us recommendation and time. We ended up getting the turkish egg bread which was better than ones I've had before - good bread, good cheese pull, fantastic taste. My friend got the rice bowl with tofu and I got the 5 spice chicken biscuit. So filling but every bute was as good as the last.

The food was very good but service was horrific. When I received the bill there was a 20% tip built-in to the charge automatically. Thats just wrong, especially if the service is bad. I could go on and on about the pitiful service but I think one can get the picture. I will not return as I refuse to be charged a 20% tip for terrible service. On the receipt it says they automatically add 20% so that their servers can make a living wage. They wouldn't have to do that if their servers did a good job.

Loved my solo date on a Saturday morning. After getting my car washed next door, I needed to grab a bite. Walked in to a friendly hostess and lively dining area with exposed kitchen and prep area. Outdoor seating is enclosed with heat lamps. There's also a walk up counter area for drinks and pastries. You can just sit at the nearby sofas with your light snack if you're not ordering. My entree was the fried chicken biscuit, side salad and Thai tea. The Chinese Chili Crisp biscuit was drizzled with honey, chicken cooked to perfection and the salad was small but tasty. There are lots of Vietnamese options on the menu from pastries, noodles, steak, French toast, quiche and more. Service was laid back yet attentive and music filled the background. I'll definitely be back.

Lazy Betty is one of my favorite Chef's Table experiences so when I heard Chefs Ron Hsu and Aaron Phillips were opening a casual Vietnamese cafe & bakery on the west side I was intrigued. Dropped in tonight. Don't sleep on the Vietnamese Hot Fried Chicken or the Lemongrass Pork Chop on Bun Noodle Salad. And the Coconut Shaved Ice dessert is absolute perfection. Two thumbs up for a fast, casual, & super fresh meal. (My Tip: parking is free & plentiful. Juniper Cafe is located next to The Woodall on the west side. The space is kid-friendly with an enclosed patio.)

Visited this quaint place and was sat down as soon as we entered. We waited for about 10-15 to be greeted and no one came. A couple of others people were seated next to us and was immediately served and order taken. Without quality service you will not get my hard earned money. We left

The food was really good but the service was terrible. We had to wait 20/30 minutes in between each interaction to get someone's attention, didn't have a dedicated server and once had to physically get up from the table to ask for assistance. On top of this, 20% gratuity is already added into your check regardless. This would be absolutely ok if the service wasn't as bad as it was. I made a reservation for our dinner and there's a $15 charge if you cancel. If this is the route you're going, the service must match that. Again the food was really good but the service we experienced was the worst service of this year and I dine out often.

I would agree with the review below and say 3.5 stars is the perfect rating for me too. The food without a doubt was delicious. The options were all unique and I appreciated the authenticity down to the drink options. We came for brunch. My friend I was with had been there before and already told me the food was great, just a bit pricey. But that the service was not great. She mentioned not feeling noticed or feeling like she was bothering the staff to get service. The hostess was real sweet when we came in and said it would be a 10-15 minute wait. Totally fine, no reservation. We didn't wait long and she gave us a 2 seater directly in the sun on the (covered but no AC) patio. We asked if we could sit at another table or wait a second longer. Her smile disappeared and now she seemed annoyed. I tried to help move the menu and plates and she grabbed it out of my hands. Ok cool, 4 stars. Took a while for us to be greeted by our server but he was nice. Food was great! We had the Turkish egg bread which was delicious, and each of us had the breakfast bowl. I added the eggplant and she had the shrimp. We both had a Makgeolli. The check came and unbeknownst to us, 20% was added. Now I would've tipped at least 20%, I just don't like not knowing. So 1/2 star deducted. And my friend said this was her most pleasant experience, so maybe that's why they can sometimes have poor service? Gratuity isn't optional? Idk.

Finally made it over to try this cafe out tonight and are only disappointed that we didn't do it sooner. The banhmi was delicious - the bread is made fresh in house and made the difference! The beef pho had a wonderful aroma and was big and filling. The owner stopped by a few times and was very nice and welcoming. Already made a reservation to come back for Sunday brunch!

I've never had Vietnamese before so we tried it. The restaurant Beas great and the service was pretty good. I had the Hot Fried Chicken and a Japanese Belgian White Ale. It was all great. I enjoyed it. The chicken was sweet and then hot. It was a great first experience. I would definitely come back.
