Another great meal at Joey D's. I took two of my sons for a birthday dinner. Had the garlic strip, the beef rib and the baby back ribs. Holy crap. There were so many ribs in the order (two full racks) we were flabbergasted. This order could have easily fed all three of us. The garlic strip was a large, healthy 17oz cut. There was a small bone but it was very small so it wasn't an issue even though the menu doesn't say it's a bone-in cut. The only thing that was a little disappointing was that I ordered the beef rib. I guess I didn't pick up on the word "BARBEQUE" in front of "BEEF RIB" on the menu. I was expecting a grilled beef rib seasoned like they would season the strip, rib eye or filet. What I got was a beef rib that was more like the giant beef version of baby back ribs. It was BBQ style. The menu used the term "BARBEQUE" so I should have clarified this with our server. I didn't and got something that I wasn't expecting. Again, that's on me, although the menu could be a little more specific. That said, it was a very tender large beef rib and I brought most of it home. My dog, Bernie, got the bone and is still working on it and I used the shredded bbq beef in some eggs and in some nachos I made last night at home. The best thing about Joey D's is that the entrees come with choice of Caesar or house salad and a choice of sides. All three of us had loaded baked potatoes. My two boys had Caesar salads and I had the house salad with the house dressing which is a honey-mustard style with a gratuitous amount of bacon. The salad was great. Cool, crisp and fresh. You could tell that it wasn't made an hour before it was served. It can get pretty loud in there at night when it's busy so take that into consideration if you're taking elderly folks who may not like that ambience. We were lucky and were seated all the way in the back by the rear exit. If you're looking for a consistently great quality meal at a very good value and great service, Joey D's is your place.

David was a very attentive and excellent food service host. If you get the New Orleans Shrimp- don't make the mistake of getting the shells and heads off. A bit over cooked and the sauce had broken down into two components butter and seasoning but they were still good or I was hungry.. probably both. My friend enjoyed her black bean burger.

Wonderful business dinner with colleagues to get in the holiday spirit. The ambience was festive and the food was very well prepared. We had Delmonico steaks and Sea Bass. Our server was informative and on point during dinner.

We ordered crab claws as an advertiser and charbroiled oysters. The Charlie Burrow oysters were good high of the crab claws were rough as if they were undercooked but whale season we came to Joy D's for my twins 24th birthday. One of my daughters order the garlic and herb steak strip. The beef is poor quality. The steak was supposed to be medium well however, it tasted very charred on the outside and dry on the inside and so was our burgers our burgers had this burnt chart taste on the outside and the inside of the burger was also very dry. The beef seemed as though it was poor quality beef, not well prepared. The last order was red fish broiled with cream of corn on the side. The cream of corn was really good. Red fish was also not prepared properly. It just taste more burnt than broiled. I have been Joey'd before it seems as though the restaurant was really crowded, a lot of things that we were trying to order off the menu were sold out. Also our waiter had a very big disconnect. I ordered the hibiscus margarita and he asked me was it on the menu? He also told me before knowing what the drink was that it too was sold out usually when I come here. It's a good experience with the waiter with the food the atmosphere and noise level. I can honestly say I was very disappointed last night with our meal and our server. The service did not match the receipt at the end of our meal and experience.

There was a party of four of us. I ordered a Med/Well hamburger. It was not cooked this way. I sent it back with the waitress and it took approx 40 minutes to recook it, and it was basically pretty much well done. when it came back to me. By this time, everyone else totally finished their meal. The waitress came by once, and asst. mgr came by once to apologize for the wait. I had to ask for another hot drink. After waiting for so long, my husband walked up to the manager and explained the situation. She did not charge us for our meal and gave us two complimentary desserts. That was very nice. All in all this situation was really not acceptable. How long does it take to cook one hamburger? I did not need any sides. My burger could have been returned to the grill for just a bit more cooking! We have been patrons of Joey D's since its original opening. This was a very disappointing meal and awkward for the other couple to have to wait for me to eat my meal. We will return to the restaurant but will be more selective with our server.

As I walked in I was greeted with a warm welcome from Elaine. After I was seated Kingsley greeted me, and my guest arrived. Kingsley was an experienced server, who truly understood the importance of timing. She was professional, respectful, and knowledgeable. Our chicken Ceasar salad and salmon salad arrived in a timely fashion and were prepared perfectly. The apple dessert with the luscious ice cream was truly a hit. Kaylee came by to say hello and to check on us. Obviously, Kaylee is a true professional and a phenomenal leader, as the staff at Joey D's is a true dream team consistently each time I come to Joey D's.

It's been a while since I've been to JD's (I recently retired so haven't frequented my former after work spots) but thought it would be a nice change of pace. It turned out to be one of the best meals I've had this year. It was VERY busy at the restaurant (a Friday crowd on a Tuesday!) but my reservation was noted quickly and we got a great table. Our server (Ivy) was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Her timing was perfect throughout the meal, popping back at the right moments to check in and give us whatever was needed. Ivy - you are AWESOME! 👏 👏👏 On to the food, OUTSTANDING! I had the prime rib, and the medium rare cut was perfection - well balanced and delicious with very little extra fat to waste. My companion had the beef rib, a monstrous slab of barbecued beef perched on a Jurassic sized bone. Like my prime rib it was perfectly dine - succulent without being fatty. A supplemental shout out to others on JD staff. Our table gave me a great view, and I noted two incidents that show how well your team does customer service. First, a very elderly woman with a walker was quietly escorted to the ladies room (and returned to her table) by a staffer who cleared the way for her to navigate the busy restaurant. Second was the handling of a customer who tried to bully his way to an already-reserved window table). The hostess politely (but firmly) held her ground and took him to his original table. I was impressed by both of these incidents SO much. 🤟😎
