Best quaint Latin food spot in town. Junior is great. Big guy, big flavor, bigger heart. Sneaky amazing bathroom view too. Can’t wait for our return.

Stopped by an hour and 15 minutes BEFORE closing....place was ready to close NOT prepare and serve food. Floor mats rolled up in the sinks. Is that a thing now? Zero food prepped. Too bad. Been a custimer over 25 years. Service and a willingness to work are dead.

Sofia was incredibly polite and attentive, offering great recommendations from the menu. We ordered the Arroz con Pollo and the Ropa Vieja—the latter being my favorite. The Ropa Vieja was especially flavorful and fresh. Overall, everything tasted fresh, with generous portions at a great price.

One of my favorite restaurants here in Atlanta. Fantastic bean quesadilla, and the Arroz con Pollo is amazing!

Amazing food! We were looking for some chicken and we found the pollo a la parrilla that went beyond expectations! Absolutely delicious! Also the paella was just as the one that I used to have back home!
Also server Andrea was really nice, she gave us some really good recommendations (because I was hesitant to order the paella) and I’m overall she was great

The food is good. The outside patio seating is nice. The manager is very helpful. But the service is no bueno. I literally had to go in five times to ask for a menu, to ask for a drink, to ask to place an order. They have two servers and five tables. There’s no reason they can’t manage six tables. At this price point they need to hire and train good servers. If not then get rid of the servers and order at the counter with food runners. In addition there are three choices on the enchiladas. Pork, chicken, and beef. I asked for one of each on a three enchilada plate. They said no. I have to pick one. Just chicken or just pork, etc. I asked why and she said it’s because of the weight. Need some improvement here.

We used to love La Fonda and went about once per week. There prices have gone up so much, it’s insane!!! Won’t be going anymore! Sad!

I thought I could eat at La Fonda, and when I arrived, I was amazed by the photo of Fidel Castro and Che Guevara hanging on the wall. It's a shame how the owners of the establishment are willing to pay homage to such communist murderers who murdered so many Cubans and have oppressed the entire Cuban people for 65 years... what a shame they are so indifferent to the pain of a nation. 03/12/2025.

So this is just my experience as of today.
The inside area to eat is small and narrow. Decent spacing, though. One major issue I had was I wanted the salmon and salad. I asked for the salmon medium rare or medium. He said they can only make it well done and all their meat is cooked well done. That was a major letdown. They should be more conscious of their people's diets. Some people can not eat well done meat. Also, they don't have hard tacos. Only have soft tacos. The soup had dry yellow rice and was very salty. Artichoke dip was oily. The guacamole dip was good and tasted fresh. My two beef soft tacos were OK but did not taste authentic. Overall I think they need to be more flexible and more authentic. Felt like I was eating fast food. Service was OK. But he didn't even try to ask the chef to accommodate anything. I may try this place again one day. But not anytime soon.

Dietary restrictions: I was told they cook all meat well done.

I recently visited La Fonda, and let me tell you, the food was amazing! The guacamole was so fresh and flavorful, absolutely delicious. The carne asada was everything I hoped for—perfectly cooked, tender, and seasoned just right. I also tried the burrito, and it was fantastic, packed with flavor and really hit the spot.

Overall, it was an all-around great experience with good food and good vibes. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place to enjoy a delicious meal and have a great time!
