Just ate at The Works tonight and tried this place. The food was authentic Cuban and Puerto Rican as it gets! Guava juice was great and the plantains were moist and delish. Will go back to try more on their menu soon.

We were craving some Latin food for lunch and decided to try this spot, definitely no regrets! The service was excellent, and the chef/owner herself came out to serve us and walk us through the menu, which was a really nice touch. The chicharrones de pollo were packed with Puerto Rican flavor, and the roasted pork was absolutely delicious. Prices are very fair, and since itās in the food court of a shopping mall, thereās plenty of seating and parking. Highly recommend!

This food reminds me of being home in the Bronx and getting authentic Puerto Rican food. I had the lunch special of āvaca frittaā with rice, beans and of course tostones. The beef was fresh and cooked in the oven with lots of flavor and onions. Such a good and filling lunch meal deal that I had to save some for dinner. Iāll be back to try the other 5 lunch deals.

Amazing experience here at La tropical. Service was stunning by Breily and Laurencio. In top on everything and very welcoming. Alan, such hard worker back there in the kitchen! The only thing was the tostones were too grassy but besides that, everything tasted good. Will I come back? yes!!
