Could not have made a better choice for our special occasion and party of seven if we tried. Beginning with the initial contact and the making of the reservation through to the end of the meal and departing, we were treated very special. The warm service and exquisite food were top of the line. The mix of high end and comfort (not stuffy) ambiance is the perfect balance. Thank you to the staff and ownership for Lazy Betty. Wishing you 2 more Michelin stars.

Definitely Michelin Star Worthy! ⭐ We loved the experience of the tasting menu. Inside is a fun vibe, it's not stuffy or stuck up. The pacing was reallllly slow for the first 3rd of the night. It did pick up eventually but we were waiting a very long time between courses at the start.Dietary restrictions: Tasting menu was accommodating to two allergies. Delightful substitutions made.

The following was sent to management without a response. My intent was to not leave a public review. My visit left much to be desired.I’m not one to leave negative feedback on Google, but I’d like to break down my experience last night and express the areas I feel were lacking into the following categories: ambiance, service, food, presentation, and value.Ambiance: The restaurant itself was pleasant and semi-modern with its decor. The issue I found was with the full-stop rap music that would occasionally work itself into the music. I’m not talking classic, well known stuff. It was mumble rap. I reluctantly asked the server what was going on with the radio station as rap didn’t seem to fit the vibe. It was said that a staff member picked the pandora station. Interesting. Worth noting was that the bartender was wearing an athletic hoodie and backwards hat which I totally get in the right setting. This place is FORMAL with all other staff dressed nicely. The restaurant itself was difficult to find. Id recommend placing signs around the square to direct people to it.Service: 8/10. Everyone was pleasant. However, at one point, the waiter poured our mineral water into my dad’s flat water glass (who doesn’t drink mineral water), wasting over half of our mineral water and costing us another bottle. Some of the dishes were not fully explained as laid out in presentation.Presentation: There was a dish that had rocks on it, and while I did notice this, one of my party members did not and bit into the rock. The staff didn’t explain to us that the small bite sized rocks on the dish (the same color as the food) were not edible. Otherwise, everything was laid out nicely.0 I’ve done several tasting menus and this one in particular was on the high end for pricing at $200. This is absolutely fine as long as the ingredients justify the cost. Here, it didn’t. Several dishes were mushroom or plant based with the only real meat being a 1 ounce of duck breast and an extremely bland, semi-dry piece of cod. The desert was spot on with the lemon refreshment being one of the best things I’ve ever had. The serving size and ingredient selection didn’t justify the cost at all.. I cannot recommend this restaurant. $700 after tax for 3 people with no add ons. This was a $70 tasting menu at best oversold by $130.

We had a wonderful experience at Lazy Betty’s new location in Midtown. The restaurant interior is thoughtfully designed, and service was attentive. The food it self was played beautifully, and everything tasted incredibly fresh and unique. The Bluefin Tuna Roll, Foie Gras and Cherry Terrine, and Crown Roasted Duck were standouts. We ordered the supplemental Truffle Risotto course, and I’m so glad we did. Dessert was absolutely delicious as well. It was truly a memorable experience. We are excited to return to try the a la carte menu.

My husband and I celebrated our 11th year anniversary at Lazy Betty and it was one of the best anniversaries so far. The service was beyond exceptional; starting from us calling for directions, upon entrance and through the whole dining experience until we left. Everyone was beyond attentive, super professional, so knowledgeable and so caring. Each dish was perfectly served, balanced yet mind blowing and majestic. Our cups never went empty and the environment was arresting. One of the many dishes that stood out to us was of course the wagyu steak, it was so delicate and buttery. The blue fin tuna roll was perfectly put together, so savory with a surprise crunch, very addictive. The puff pastry scallop was heart warming. I can eat another bowl of the palate cleanser. I literally couldn’t stop saying “oh my gosh” every time I took a bite of each dish. We can’t wait to come back. I highly recommend to all family and friends! So many thanks to the wonderful chefs and amazing staff. Hats off and cheers!

PROS: As new imports from New York and SF, we were familiar with the service and food creations at Le Bernadin and other Michelins. We were so excited to visit Lazy Betty and were so pleasantly surprised by the wonderful experience of flavors that had so many notes, that every course was someone's favorite. The whole menu is memorable, something we did not necessarily always experience at other Michelins. Just as one thinks one plate is hard to top, the next one does it. This sets the bar incredibly high for the concluding items, however, the desserts do an incredible job of closing the ceremony with an absolute bang. Congratulations to the team of experts behind Lazy Betty. The service was laid back, yet buttoned up, delivering a solid experience all around. Looking forward to our next experience!CONS: Little things that can be improved: A) The private area acoustics could be improved. There were 3 different parties sharing the space, yet one table was notoriously loud and completely unaware of other guests also desiring to have conversations or enjoy the food without being part of their chatter. B) The plastic glass coasters get stuck to the glasses; I had to pick mine up from the floor several times and this is not hygienic. C) Be slightly more meticulous, we did not have silverware for our initial bread and butter service and one of the desserts was missing a garnish that everyone else's had (this was quickly rectified).Parking: You can access parking through the entrance to the adjacent Hyatt Hotel.

Edit: response from management is condescending but also hilarious. Lazy Betty is not the first Michelin restaurant I’ve dined at, yet the only that wasn’t able to accommodate a dietary restriction. I just returned from Europe where I dined at 4 Michelin starred restaurants. The check at all were 1/3 of what it was at Lazy Betty and 100 times better and fresher. So yeah - my perception still is Lazy Betty is not worth the price tag.Underwhelming. Wanted to love it but so disappointing for the amount of money that was spent. Also worth mentioning is that if you have a family or friend that has an allium allergy or is vegan, look elsewhere - they will not accommodate you. Any restaurant worth anything can accommodate with notice. I find this ridiculous for a Michelin star restaurant. Will not return.

Went for our second Valentine’s Tasting Menu. As always the truffle risotto was spectacular and I would recommend adding this to your meal. The biscuit is heavenly and we tried a new fondant potato dish and salmon dish that were highlights of the meal. I had some dietary restrictions and they were happy to accommodate. We can’t wait for the new space to open in Midtown!

The combination and interpretation of the ingredients were fun, and the dishes also brought out the natural flavors of the ingredients well.

We celebrated a birthday here and heard great things about Lazy Betty. We were very excited to try the food especially since the restaurant received its first Michelin star recently. We enjoyed all of the courses but I must say that the non-meat courses were probably my favorites! They obliged to our dietary restrictions and altered the menu accordingly for us which we really appreciated. The gnocchi was delicious and so was the tart.
