Such a cute and quaint little spot for a milestone date night! We love ordering the prix fixe menu along with the drink package. This place feels like a neighborhood favorite, yet it seems like not many people know about it. This is Atlanta's hidden gem.

We were a party of four and shared one each on the savory menu. No favorites, all were delicious! We all would recommend and will be returning.

I get what this restaurant is going for, and there are some hits and some misses.
Food - very unique flavor combos. Some of flavors don’t go well together IMO, but every dish makes you pause and discuss. There were a few big hits, couple mehs. One dish everyone in the party disliked. We ordered every dish on the menu.
Service - this was a miss. Server looked like a millennial, but had the flat demeanor of a Gen Z. Polite but zero enthusiasm or engagement. For this level of dining (that they’re trying to be), there is a level of service expected.
Example - Me: looking at cocktail menu. “I don’t like sweet cocktails.”
Server: “Then you’re in the right place.” in the flattest, most uninterested tone ever. Genuinely felt like I was bothering her.
Me: waiting for a recommendation or any description of the cocktails. “Umm…okay…I’ve never had any of these so not sure what would be good...”
Server: just stands there
Me: “okay…” picks cocktail at random
Table all chuckled when she walked away because it was truly bizarre. This experience repeated itself all night. She was polite, but needs training on how to engage with diners.
Recommendation: servers should give a brief description of the dish when it’s dropped. Tell me something about it - what inspired it, what led you to combine these flavors, anything. 2 sentences about each dish would make a huge difference in how the dish is perceived.
Smile. If I’m walking into a fine dining restaurant and buying literally everything on the menu including several rounds of drinks, the service needs to be better and that includes a smile. The flat politeness, no smile, and zero engagement gave borderline attitude.
3 stars because the restaurant ambience is nice, the 2 chefs who each dropped a dish were pleasant, and the flavors are truly unique.
I had such a memorable dinner at Little Bear in Summerhill! From the moment we walked in, the vibe felt creative and welcoming, with an open kitchen and playful energy that sets it apart from typical dining spots. The menu is full of inventive small plates that change with the seasons, so every dish feels fresh and exciting — and the wine and cocktail list was equally thoughtful. The flavors were bold and beautifully balanced, and while the portions lean small‑plate style, it made the whole meal feel like a fun, shared experience with friends. The service was friendly and attentive, and the whole night felt like something special — I can’t wait to go back and try even more of what they’re offering!

My husband and I are fans of Little Bear overall but for a holiday experience we felt a little scammed. There was no supplementing for portion for the Christmas Eve dinner and the portion sizes, we felt, were smaller than any of our other previous visits. It was a hard bill to look at considering how little we actually got to eat, but the staff and atmosphere was as lovely as ever and the drink pairings were great. Just overall a let down compared to our previous experiences. Would recommend for any other occasion but a holiday menu seemed to be a bit of a wash for the value!
The XL meat option was AMAZING! Fried pork belly with sweet potatoes and salad. It was such a great combo of comfort food yet stylish looking and idk what vinaigrette the salad had but it was so light and yummy.
We were hoping to meet Diego, the new owner's doggie but maybe he doesn't make appearances? We forgot to ask. It was nice to see so much art about the doggies throughout the restaurant, and the doggie soap dispenser in the bathroom was the cherry on top.
We came here on a Sunday night so parking wasn't too difficult. Drinks were excellent as well!
It just was an odd experience that did not live up to the hype. We ordered 5 things and the first 3 things - soup, salad, squash dish all just had too much heavy, fermented, acidic, sour flavors that really kind of shot our taste buds. They need like complementary bread of some sort or rice or something to cut through the intense flavors, at least one of the dishes had orange in it to brighten it up. The chicken was solid and more balanced and the cocktail was great in addition to the attentive service. But the decor was very haphazard and the wait staff could be dressed nicer so for a finer dining experience it seemed kind of like an identity crisis was happening. At least only use plates that have the comic strip intact and not smudged off.

Little Bear was a fun and creative dining experience! We ordered one portion of the Prix Fixe menu and the crispy trout and shish taouk. My standouts were the crispy trout, tas kebab, and the persimmon flavored frozen yogurt. It makes sense why this place was given a Bib Gourmand award!
Wow. The food was excellent- very interesting flavours and quite a unique mix of influences.
The cocktails and wine were also delicious.
Will definitely go back when I’m next in Atlanta

Went here for dinner last night for my 3 year anniversary with my partner and my expectations were absolutely exceeded. I’m not one to eat at fine dining restaurants often mainly because of the cost, but this place was absolutely worth it given the quality of the food. Our total bill was around $100 and we got several plates which, in my opinion, is affordable for a meal of this caliber. The food was thought-provoking and well balanced. I’ve never tasted anything close to what I ate last night in my life and I’m already craving seconds. Very unique flavor profiles and ingredients and beautiful plating.
Neveah (I might be getting the name wrong) was our server and she was awesome. Super knowledgeable about the menu and gave great service! The staff really went above and beyond to make us feel special. Cocktails and desert are also a must here. Needless to say, we will be back.

This was one of the best meals of the year. We are industry people and eat out once a month at nice restaurants to see what Atlanta has to offer. I feel we know the industry since we are the beverage director, the GM, the head chef and bar manager at Delbar Buckhead. This meal exceeded expectations in every way.
First the service. We got checked in and one of the hosts were on the phone and I really liked her tone and playfulness dealing with the guest. She was pleasant and it felt like she really liked her job.
The server (Sam) was also very nice and friendly and told us some of her favorite dishes. She took our cocktail orders right away. At some point they changed servers and she was just as pleasant and friendly as our original server.
My first cocktail was the Boston Cooler which I enjoyed. The rest of my group ordered sparkling wine and other cocktails, but they were not my cup of tea. I switched to the Magic Word which ended up being delicious and I stuck with it for the rest of my visit.
We literally ordered every dish on the menu and went back for seconds on the trout and chicory salad dish, but the stand out dishes were the chicken liver custard and the pork belly. I could literally drink whisky and eat the chicken liver custard all night. The flavors were bold, with a little spiciness, sour, sweet and savory. It worked and there was no dish that we wouldn't have again. Dessert was the Benne Pudding and Mochi Cake. The pudding was my favorite of the two. Our chef even asked how the Fattoush was prepared and what a black oyster caesar was.
Let the chef know that we look forward to him coming to Delbar Buckhead and giving him as great an experience as we got at Little Bear.
