Food was really good!

We waited over an hour for our food. My wife’s meal arrived, but mine never did. Despite asking several times, there was no resolution. We ended up leaving without my meal. This is unacceptable and we won’t be returning.

Absolutely disappointing, which is surprising being that the bar/restaurants in most W Hotels are great. First night here, we wanted to get a quick drink before heading out to dinner. The service was extremely slow. We had to rush out to make our reservation. Second day here was a decent experience which is why I didn't give 1 star. I believe the bar manager was on shift and he was training. Even with that the service was still faster than the first day. Day three was THE WORST. It was a little busier but by no means crowded. I got my food and drink fast enough. But when I was ready to get a second drink, there was no bartender available. The barback advised the bartenders were on break. I've never seen bartenders go on break in the middle of service with no back up. We were without a bartender for about 20 minutes. At this point, I no longer want my second drink. I also witnessed the barback clear cups from a customer that left and put the napkins back in the napkin holder. Just disappointing all around.

I had the scrambled eggs grits and chicken sausage toast
You get a good portion of food. The grits are purplish blue and I frowned but when I tried it was great. The flavor was there and did not need anything not salt or pepper was needed to make it taste better. Chicken sausage was cook perfectly

I ate 1 dinner and 2 breakfasts here while staying at the W. The bartender/manager (dinner) and the breakfast servers were all very personable. I appreciate the night I stopped in for dinner that the server confirmed I wasn't over-ordering and I thoroughly enjoyed the chef's interpretation of butternut squash ravioli with a fantastic focus on nutmeg. It was really tasty. I also enjoyed the innovative cocktail at the start of the meal. I ate 2 additional breakfasts and thought the service was great and with a nice selection of options for breakfast. All breakfasts were well-prepared and service was quick and efficient with the server circulating to make sure my coffee was topped off through the meal.

Service here was too notch. great environment, but a little wait to get seated. Once we had a spot, our server was awesome.

Good food, waiter was amazing but the other one next to his table was giving us a hard time to expand our reservation capacity... The food was good, took a little longer than expected. Great place before the Pride parade

Elevated ingredients, preparation, and presentation in a relaxed, refined environment. We both had the shrimp and grits, and it was incredible. The dining room was all but empty when we arrived for late brunch on a Sunday, so it took a few minutes to be sat, but the service afterwards was very attentive. Jasmine was great!

I haven't had the opportunity to visit the venue Local Motives, I can only assertain by the Location and the facility where it is located, at the Hilton's downtown W hotel & residence, which is exclusive and swanky... Local Motives is a definite destination to visit!

I came here because the photos looked good but it was not. When I arrived, they had a private event, so they moved all the guests into a different part of the hotel, the steak I had on my salad was very hard to cut, and did not taste good at all, the service was also subpar. I didn’t find me with any utensils, and I asked for a steak knife to cut my steak up on the salad, and they brought me a to go box ??? Very disappointed, and would never come back.

We were shocked. Everything was so good! Dinner (burger with the egg/bacon/onion rings on top), scallop app, halibut (perfectly cooked. So tasty!) and breakfast: crab cake Benedict and avocado toast. The toast was anything but basic. Delicious bread. Both of our servers were amazing. Just a great experience. Very unexpected for a hotel bar/restaurant.
