OMG Please try the pineapple cake ice cream!!!! It blew my mind as a Taiwanese. Wherever you’re from, you’ll love the taste of the pastry-like pineapple ice cream. Very creative!!! Take your date here for a sweet treat!☺️☺️And the service is 💯💯💯💯💯

Came in with a group of 12+, and the food did not disappoint. Ordered an orange and earl grey flavored coffee drink, and that is a combination that I’m going to be dreaming about. The pastries are also delicious.

Just a short drive from GA Tech, this spot serves up Taiwanese-style dishes—or at least, that’s what I expected 🤔
Since I was driving today, I skipped the cocktails (so no score for that part 🍸), but the atmosphere felt more like a bar or fine dining restaurant than a Taiwanese eatery. Judging from the reviews, it’s been open for a while, but service definitely needs improvement. No one checked if the food was okay, and the staff seemed distant and overwhelmed—even though the restaurant wasn’t full.
Here’s what I ordered:
🍠 Sweet Potato Fries — Comes with plum seasoning, a super local Taiwanese touch! Unfortunately, the portion was small, and the plum powder was way too much—it overpowered the fries and made them overly sweet (and not so pretty). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🦪 Oyster Omelette (O ah jian) — Loved seeing the Taiwanese name on the menu, but sadly, it missed the mark. The batter texture was completely absent, and there were barely any oysters hiding under a thin layer of egg. Honestly, it felt more like a vegetable omelette (“Shu Cai Jian”) than the real deal. The sauce was okay though. ⭐️⭐️
🥣 Beef Noodle Soup — Asked for it to be served last. The broth had a hint of herbal aroma but was surprisingly light and flat in flavor. The wide noodles were overcooked and soggy—knife-cut noodles might’ve been better. The pickled veggies didn’t match well with the soup, and the small chunks of carrot were bland. ⭐️⭐️
🔸 Overall: If you’re craving authentic Taiwanese flavors, this place might disappoint. But if you’re coming for drinks and want some Taiwanese-inspired street food to go with your cocktail, it could still be worth a visit!?

My time at Lucky Star was incredible! The food tasted fantastic, and their drinks were, without a doubt, the best I've had in a long time. The person who made the experience truly exceptional was our server, Brandie. I'm eager to come back soon and have Brandie take care of my friends and me again.

The duck fat scallion pancake and edamame were very good. The omelette not so good, given that it’s a Taiwanese restaurant :(

Delicious takeout and even more delicious drinks. We had the Grape Matcha and the Yuzu Matcha drinks with our dinner and it was amazing, unlike so many of the trendy matcha drinks that ultimately do a disservice to the tea itself. The Grape flavor was tart, sweet, and refreshing without being too impactful on the tea flavor itself - it had that distinctly grape flavor you can only get from muscats which I absolutely appreciated. The Yuzu was refreshing and delicious, creamy and similarly matcha forward.
Looking forward to dining in person to try more dishes, but the takeout portions of the TW noodles were fantastic, with quite good braised pork on top.

The same taste as my mom made in Taiwan! This is definitely the number one Taiwanese store in Atlanta! I strongly recommend that every Taiwanese who misses the taste of home try it; you will cry so hard. The parking lot is a bit difficult to find, but the space is ample and easily accessible. Don't forget to bring your parking ticket to inform the cashier; they will give you a valid ticket for 2 hours of free parking. Totally enough for the whole dining. You can walk around after dining, there are some events around the street sometimes.

We came in for brunch and tried a latte, French toast, and scallion pancakes. The flavors are creative and delicious. A unique and satisfying meal that we’ll be adding to our rotation

Very disappointed! Really came in for just a simple coffee and a matcha drink. The coffee wasn’t even hot nor fresh that I had ask for another remake. The matcha was just okay nothing really special. The place is cute! The service was good. All in all it’s nothing special about the place like how it was made to seem. You were better off going to Starbucks instead.

I own a couple condos across the street and Wanted to try this place! I had high hopes. I just got coffee and a croissant to try it out first. It’s cute BUT we need more than cute! The espresso sucks. The staff was rigid and cold. The croissant was Costco basic. At least the talent working should be great and friendly and upbeat. The Asian girl making the coffee was cold faced and rolling her eyes ugh! Then when a person she knew came in she was all smiles and conversating lol. She should have been that way from the start with EVERYONE. Anywho, I’d skip this place and go to brash. At least brash has good coffee and friendly staff. We need more than just cute!

Nothing about this place is less than extraordinary. The service is so welcoming and hospitable, the drinks are truly unique and not in a way that makes you question your sanity. The drinks are thought out and creative and outstanding. The food is delicious and great serving portions. I cannot recommend this place enough!

WOW! The pancake was maybe the best appetizer/snack we have had.
The drinks were personal (wow at bad staff), delicious, and well paired. The depth of flavor and pairings were amazing.
The setting is unique with a high class/Manhattan vibe.
10/10 will continue to go back.
