The carpaccio, burrata, and tuna veal are must try starters. The service at Luella is phenomenal. Nuri was our server. She helped us navigate the menu and offered amazing suggestions

This place had been on my bucket list since before it opened, and after tonight’s dinner with a party of six, it largely delivered, with a few notable caveats worth knowing before you go.

The food is excellent and the ambience is great, but let me get into the specifics: We were seated at a large round table with comfortable but quite narrow chairs, worth noting if you’re broader in the hips. More significantly, the noise level is no joke. Multiple reviews warn about it, and they’re right: we were legitimately shouting across the table all evening. Perfect for a lively group dinner, but not the place for a romantic night out or a business meal.

The menu and website prime you for a leisurely experience, and they mean it. Our dinner stretched nearly three hours. Charming in principle, though less so when you’re straining to hear each other. Service also slowed noticeably between appetizers and entrées.

One frustration: on a $700 bill before alcohol, we were charged a credit card convenience fee. I understand processors charge their percentage, but at that price point, absorbing it feels like the hospitable thing to do. It left a slightly sour note on an otherwise solid evening.

I’d return ,but go in with eyes open: come hungry, come loud, and bring cash.

Upon arrival, valet was readily available—a $5 charge, with the option to tip more. The team worked seamlessly together, which I appreciated. My partner and I arrived a bit early for our 8:45 PM reservation, but we were seated promptly with no issue.

One standout moment was the host—she was kind and even took photos for us upon arrival and again as we were leaving. Such a thoughtful touch that added to the experience.

The ambiance is definitely a vibe—moody, with dim lighting and plush, velvety seating that creates a chic and intimate feel. However, the noise level was on pro max. Between the music and the chatter from other guests, it became difficult to fully tune in or even comfortably communicate with our server, which took away from the overall connection of the dinning experience.

Now let’s get into the highlights—the food. The Luella salad was refreshing and well-balanced. The cod fish and hanger steak were both flavorful, especially paired with the whipped potatoes. Those dishes were definitely the stars of the night.

That said, the combination of the overwhelming noise and the slow pace of the food coming out made the experience feel a bit overstimulating. It ultimately impacted my desire to explore more of the menu.

I’d be open to returning, but likely during lunch hours for a more relaxed atmosphere and another chance to try additional menu items.

Nuri was absolutely the sweetest bartender I’ve came across. She made the most beautiful and delightful to the pallet cocktails. I wish there were more out there like herself! Thank you Nuri!!

This place is immaculate. The food is to die for. My favorites were the carpaccio, the surf n turf roll and the bone marrow. Spencer and his crew were the phenomenal and couldn't have been more attentive and punctual. Shout out to the Chef. They've truly built something special here in Atlanta!

Such an amazing experience, the Gouda fries & Caesar salad is a must. The espresso martini was one of the best I’ve had and the staff was so incredibly kind, warm and welcoming and treated you like family. You can tell they really care about their guests here, truly 10/10 experience!

Ambiance was good, food is pricey for small portions but taste good, drinks were amazing. Hostess was very rude but the manager made everything right and we had a good time.

Was quite nostalgic seeing this venue transformed. The designer knocked it out of the park and overall was a great experience. We came to celebrate our anniversary here and was a bit disappointing when we arrived the hostess said “we’re behind but got you checked in”. No mention of wait time, no guidance to the bar, no wishes of happy anniversary, nothing. We saw ourselves to the bar and waited 28 minutes for a table booked well over a month prior. Our bartender was great and super personable. Our waitress was also bubbly and helpful, so that made up for first impressions. Appetizers were stellar with the carpaccio and Caesar truly devine, but the steak was just okay. The crust and sear were great but it felt rushed and internal flavor was nothing I felt wowed over compared to other staples we go to. Found it very tacky that you spend ~$400 on a meal and then hit with a credit card fee… it wasn’t excessive but just the principal of the experience left a weird taste. Would recommend just building that into your pricing to be better received. Overall, it was fun to feel The Ivy grow up with us and overall truly enjoyed it but has a few areas to improve.

My boyfriend surprised me with my 30th birthday dinner at Luella, and the entire experience was truly amazing. From the moment he began coordinating the reservation to the actual evening with our friends, the team was incredibly helpful and accommodating.

The atmosphere was beautiful, the food was fantastic, and the service made the night feel even more special. Every detail was handled so well, and our whole group had such a wonderful time celebrating together.

Thank you to the Luella team for helping make my 30th birthday such a memorable night. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant for a special occasion!

It's so loud you can't even hear the person next to you talking. Other than that, it's pretentious, overpriced, and the somm will pick out the absolute most expensive wine on the menu. The food itself is decent, but nothing special. I won't be back.

This is an exceptional new addition to the Atlanta fine dining scene! If you truly want a professional, curated, highly personal experience ask for Ken. He is fantastic to work with! The Ribeye Spinalis Al Limone was exceptional and the atmosphere is sophisticated, lively (yet easy to have a conversation), and very classy. Can't wait to be back!
