Makimono is easily one of my new favorite sushi spots in Atlanta. The food is fresh, the rolls are creative, and everything comes out fast. I loved the vibe — tucked inside Krog Street Market, it’s the perfect mix of chill and stylish. The staff was friendly and on top of everything, and the presentation of each dish was on point.

Went there on a Saturday at 5:30. Great vibes! $5 margs, $6 mixed drinks. The food was amazing and the service was even better. Apparently the place only opens on the weekend so felt almost like an exclusive speak easy behind the bar at Krog. You walk to the left of the counter and find a super cute sushi restaurant with perfectly priced drinks and food. And no crowds! Unheard of! Will be back again

Stopped in for some quick sushi on a Sunday night and was met with great service and sushi options. Every roll we ordered was perfect and the team helped suggest great options as well. Good drink specials to add onto the great food menu. Would recommend!

It was AMAZING. The staff is exceptional and we couldn’t get enough of the food! Such creative and delicious dishes!!! Portions are huge and I will definitely be coming back again and again!

If you need a fun date night spot this is a great spot and it’s near so many fun things to do afterwards too!

The food was alright. The beef bulgogi wasn’t anything noteworthy, but the option of having it in a bento box was nice. I really didn’t like that I couldn’t swap out my California roll for any kind of veggie roll though. As someone who doesn’t eat seafood, I would have loved the option to at least swap it for gyoza or something already in the bento box. The person taking my order said I could swap out anything else in the box. With how he said it, it seemed like the Cali roll couldn’t be replaced at all. That was highly disappointing.

If ever on Krog and looking for something yummy to eat, don’t walk, but run to Makimono!!! We went to celebrate my besties bach, and I feel like we made a wonderful decision! I did the Makimono sushi roll for app and the spicy pork stone pot for entree. Literally , one of the best meals I’ve had in Atl!! Great service, the staff is wonderful!! Definitely try it out if you’re into Korean/Japanese cuisine.
