Mandolin Kitchen – A Late-Night Gem
I stopped in for a late dinner at Mandolin Kitchen, and it turned out to be an absolute delight from start to finish. I began with their new roasted red pepper labneh, a creamy, tangy dip reminiscent of hummus but with a deeper, roasted flavor. It was served with freshly baked warm bread that complemented it beautifully—comforting and full of flavor.

For the main course, I ordered the Lavraki (Mediterranean sea bass), and it was nothing short of perfection—tender, flaky, and delicately seasoned to bring out the fish’s natural sweetness. It was accompanied by a generous side of roasted Brussels sprouts, a crisp salad, and tender baby asparagus. The salad leaned a bit heavy on the dressing, but everything else was spot on—fresh, balanced, and vibrant.

To end the meal, I enjoyed a cup of authentic Turkish coffee, rich and aromatic with that signature hint of spice and sweetness. It was the perfect finale to a wonderful meal.

The restaurant also offers valet parking, though I opted out—it felt a bit unnecessary given the easy street parking nearby. Overall, Mandolin Kitchen delivered an outstanding dining experience: refined yet relaxed, flavorful yet balanced. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their Mediterranean dishes.

We were turned away because we had a 12 year old grandson and all have to be at least 21. No mention of this anywhere on the website. They ask us to review their kid friendliness below! It’s off our list now.

The food was very expensive, and the künefe was salty and terrible. We had to go up to the waiters ourselves to place our order and again to pay the bill — they showed very little attention.

It took 55 minutes all for waitress to come to our table, and after she put 20% gratuity when we finally catch her to get a check. I understand and agree to put 20% when I have service. But there was to service at all. Music was not even a music there some random disgusting rap we couldn’t even hear that. Plus 10$ on slow Sunday night for a parking, listen I can park myself a car for free. Won’t ever come back.

Ambiance is nice, service is good and the food I had was decent. I had the Seabass, fish was perfectly grilled but could have used a bit more seasoning. I tasted my friend's Lamb chops and it was delicious. Parking is not convenient, except you use their valet service.

We had a great experience at Mandolin. The service, cocktails, and food were all excellent. We enjoyed Eggplant, Hummus, Shish Kebab, Chicken Kebab, and Kofta, and split San Sebastián and Baklava for dessert. The Shish Kebab and San Sebastián were particularly standouts. Enjoyed the vibe with hookah and the huge covered outdoor space that works rain or shine. We will certainly be back as it’s very conveniently located on Roswell Rd.

Food and hookahs are always AMAZING but it’s pricey, specially for food.

It was a one time go for me probably. It's definitely not worth the 20% gratuity charge for sure so keep that in mind. Food was alright. The only thing we really liked was the hookah. Also a bit overpriced but it was good at least. Literally when we asked for the check out server we watched our server spend 10 min talking to someone waving our check around before it came to us while we're sitting there waiting and seeing her casually socialize.

Food used to be very good here but not anymore.

The worst part is, you have to pay for $25 for valet parking which your car is park literally just 10 feet from the entrance.
What a joke, never coming back again.

Hostess lied about closing whole restaurant at 1am. had my friend call and ask what time they closed after we left and they said 1:30. highly disrespectful!!! sat a large group of people right after telling me and my party that they were closing disregarding the hours on google. maybe it was a race thing.

Save your hard or ( soft) earned dollars on this one. There once was a time when mandolin ordered delicious wines, lasting hookahs and plentiful food, but GONE ARE THE DAYS! The last few times I’ve visited, I have encountered lack luster waitresses, sub par food, floral decor and overpriced parking prices. Not to mention the automatic gratuity, as in, “you yget what you get and don’t throw a fit,” mindset. Presently, the mashed potatoes are no good and per our waitress, “ the kitchen doesn’t speak English” but the bill was very much so in USD. Needless to say, your efforts ( and mine) are better served elsewhere.
