Good value for money. There is a discounted rate for lunch and the portion size is good. My meal tasted okay, but I wasn't very fond of the taste. Maybe that's how it's supposed to taste. Go try yourselves, it is a good deal for the price.

The Snapper in their lemon butter sauce did NOT disappoint. I got Mac & cheese and callaloo as my sides and they were as equally delicious! Will be back for sure!

Out of all the locations the Marietta location is the best food and drink wise … Edgewood location doesn’t even have a bar anymore … and uno rice and peas naaaaa right …

This is the go to spot 2am on a Friday in downtown Atlanta. The club upstairs has a good vibe on island night too.

The restaurant could use a deep thorough cleaning to include corners and new paint. My grandson used the restroom and I have no idea what he saw but he said he never wanted to be in a place like that again. Lighting could be updated as it felt dark inside the restaurant. The food was the worst Jamaican food I've ever experienced. Ive eaten Jamaican food in Miami, Orlando, New York, Nj, Delaware, Maryland, Jamaica, was soo hungry too! We had been traveling all day and were ready for a good meal close to the Hilton. We ordered,paid, and then sat down at a table to eat while trying to overlook the physical flaws. I took one bite of each item I bought and decided it was not edible for me. I gave my entire $41 order to a homeless man outside. Very disappointed. I also noticed there were alot of empty tables and only 5 or 6 people inside Mangos while a neighboring food business was filled up with people...even flowing out. Some changes are clearly needed. I didnt take pictures but I will note my rice and 'peas' didnt look like the pictures other people posted. It was white rice with darker colored beans didnt look red and fresh.

True ! Get it together no reason I should have waited over a hour for a jerk chk sandwich and couldn’t get a refund

My first time there, and I will never visit again! The place opened at 12, and at 12:30, there was no macaroni, no peas and rice, and the white rice and beef patty looks like they were left from the day before! On top of that, i paid for plantains, and I didn't have them when I left!!

came in today. waited on a order longer than 10 mins. people came in for other orders. mind you they came in after me. service -100 we taking shot and smoking that’s why we can’t get nothing right. I’m starting to think the staff on drugs ain’t no way salmon takes a hour to cook. not saying the food is bad but customer service horrible. Never will come back after today. If you got time to wait 1 hour for a plate by all means come. 9/10 you can get better service without the smoke in the spot

Its employees behave very badly. I am really sorry that there is such an employee in such a restaurant in Barzeg, especially a lady who is a cashier

I’m sorry but the lady taking orders could use some training. Service was horrible. She is not welcoming and it affects the entire experience especially as a visiting customer.

I ordered a large jerk chicken. I got only 3 pieces of chicken. The chicken was old and dry, the cabbage taste like rutabaga. Definitely horrible,the food was definitely not fresh. Will not be returning

Came here for the first time to try jerk chicken you could not even even tell that it was chicken it was undercooked gummy and nasty. The mac & cheese looks like it has spinach and seasoning in it. The plantings were fried so hard that you could not tell they were plantings. the drinks were too high $2.25 for a 16oz drink they only had mango tea and lemonade. the restaurant was filthy and nasty don’t waste your time or money with this place. food was horrible and Made my mom sick

Follow-Up on Unaddressed Review

Dear Mangos Caribbean Restaurant Team Auburn Ave,

This is a writing to follow up on my previous review regarding my dining experience at your establishment on July 6, 2023. I am extremely disappointed that I have not received any response to my concerns.

To reiterate, my guest and I were very dissatisfied with the quality of the food and poor service. The jerk and curry chicken meals were dry and overcooked, and the side dishes were equally disappointing. The rice was hard, the cabbage was overcooked and lacked color, and the plantains were bland and overcooked. Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences we have had at a Caribbean restaurant.

As per The Supply of Goods and Services Act (SGSA) 1982, service providers are required to carry out work with reasonable care and skill, in a reasonable time. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet these standards.

I believe it would be appropriate to receive a refund or replacement meals to compensate for the poor quality of the food and service we received. I would appreciate it if you could respond to my complaint within 10 days. If I do not hear back from you, my next step will be to share my experience with the Georgia Attorney General’s office.
