I needed to throw up and there was one restroom. I was thankfully able to hold it until a supposed employee came by asking to cut in line for the restroom. At first I was OK with it, but then I really had to do you know what. I tried to express this to the employee Who gave me the Z snap When I told him I really had to go. Then when I got out from doing my business, I was supposedly intimidated By someone telling me to have some respect. This was a pretty bad experience.

Went here with my son and his friends in his bachelor party. A hallway with dancing, but a friendly, eclectic spot to gather. I was the DD for him and his friends and had a great time.

Good drinks and atmosphere. Friendly bartender and good drinks. Saw a drag show here thursday night. I really enjoyed my apple whisky with cranberry. Not a lot of space tho so get ready to squeeze in!

I really liked the environment and the vibe of the place, but I was extremely disappointed to find out that the bartender added an extra tip amount to my bill without my knowledge or consent. That’s not only unprofessional—it’s dishonest. If this is how they treat people from their own community, I definitely won’t be back. I refuse to risk another fraudulent charge on my account.

I can’t say enough good things about Mary’s—this is hands down one of the best dive bars I’ve been to in a long time. The energy, the inclusivity, the overall vibe—everything about it was perfect. It’s a cozy space, but even on a Wednesday Mary-oke night, I never felt overwhelmed by the crowd. Just the right amount of people, great energy, and a balcony out back if you need a breather (or a smoke).

What really sets Mary’s apart is that it truly feels queer—not just a “gay” or “lesbian” bar, but a space where everyone in the community is welcomed and celebrated. That’s a rare and beautiful thing, and I absolutely loved it.

Unfortunately, we did have a moment where a man was harassing my friend and me, but the bartenders and so many others at the bar had our backs immediately. They handled it so well and made us feel so incredibly safe—which is exactly what a queer space should be.

And of course, the karaoke was amazing (apologies if my Talking Heads performance hurt anyone’s ears!). The drinks are also super reasonably priced, which is always a plus. We took an Uber, so I can’t speak much on parking, but there does seem to be some available out back if you’re driving.

I hate that we don’t live in Atlanta because I’d take Mary’s with me everywhere if I could. If you’re in town, you HAVE to go—the vibes are immaculate. We’ll absolutely be back next time we visit!

Oh, and they have Mrs. Pacman which is a bonus, and a really cute photo booth!

Decent g&ts, but one bathroom for the entire bar is excessive.

I absolutely love Mary’s! It’s the perfect spot to let loose, enjoy great vibes, and feel completely welcomed. The atmosphere is always fun, and the events never disappoint. The staff makes the experience even better—especially Chris behind the bar! He’s an incredible bartender who always brings great energy and top-notch service. If you’re looking for a fun night out in East ATL, this is the place to be!

Best queer bar in ATL. One of the most diverse bars with the fastest moving bartenders around, more than fair prices, amazing bar owners, and some killer DJs. They have various party themes, weekly events, drag nights, and the most fantastic decorating that changes with the seasons... You can't go wrong, just don't be a dick.

Upstairs bartender was very rude… and purposely put flat coke in our beverages… first and foremost last time coming to this establishment…

Dear bartender I don't recognize: maybe stay home if you're in the mood to yell at customers trying to just hide in the corner. A hole
