Max Lager's Wood-Fired Grill & Brewery

Great service, our server pushed us to the steak collection which is fine we asked him what he thought was the best. Unfortunately all of our steaks were extremely overcooked. Good flavor but we didn't want to all send them back.

Food was very good. Friendly service. The room was loud as the patronage grew. Good place to meet friends.

The lemon pepper wings were very good. Three of us had the pork chop. Two of us had to send them back as the were not cooked through, they were very rare. Service was average. Pizza's that were coming out of the kitchen looked really good, I would recommend trying them.

Food was great! We went for more southern style dishes, fried chicken and shrimp with grits. Both were well prepared and flavorful. The decor and vibe were perfect for a casual business dinner.

The food was excellent. I brought clients to Max Lager's and it was so good, and so convenient, I went back there the next day. The salads are excellent. Not too big, not too small.

Their fried chicken was the absolute best!

Why so few stars? The beer and service are exceptional and the atmosphere is perfect. I make it a priority to visit breweries and drink local beer and this place not only has all my local favs they are also brewing their own. I did not eat the food but since they have the same owner as Bold Monk I expect it is very good. I will certainly be back to test that theory. If you enjoy good beer and a nice atmosphere I highly recommend stopping here!

Corner suite on main road. No restaurant parking. Lots nearby to park at- paid parking but free at certain times. First impression visit.

Pros:

Cons:
No restaurant parking. Drinks came after our food even though it was not crowded. You can tell how empty it was by the pictures.

Would I Recommend: No due to lack of parking and service. Food dishes are common - you can get these dishes anywhere.

The Burger of my husband was good.
I had chicken with green beans. The chicken was ok, the beans massive undercooked.

Waiter brought new beans.
Same problem.
That was ist for them!!!
No sorry, no good cooked beans, no reduced price. Nothing.
That's no service!
Can't recommend this restaurant.

I recently found Max Lagers Restaurant when in Atlanta several weeks ago with a relative. We knew nothing about the dining establishments in the area, so we were literally on an adventure, hoping to find a great dining experience. Boy, did we ever get Blessed when we walked into Max Lagers! The ambience was warm and inviting, beginning with the hosts who greeted and seated us. The background music was soft and pleasing.
There were no condiments at all on our table, and we soon learned why. Our appetizers and entrees were already seasoned to perfection! The grouper that I ordered literally melted in my mouth.
Our server was polite, responsive, knowledgeable and prompt. Our food was brought to the table by a different attendant, which gave us the perception of a full service atmosphere. The entire experience was nothing short of divine!
We will definitely make reservations at Max Lagers on our next trip to Atlanta!

Parking: We paid for parking elsewhere and walked several blocks to the restaurant. We were completely new to this area of Atlanta.
