The wine was terrible. Tried 2 Pinot noirs and they tasted like battery acid. Only 2 kinds of steak. Both cuts were over salted and dry. The potatoes with cheese felt lovely me it had been on the warmer for hours. The coconut pie was inedible. Overall very disappointing.

We had a delicious lunch and excellent service! I enjoyed the onion soup and then grilled salmon, with roasted okra! this was my first time having lunch at McKendrick's and look forward to dining there again soon! Great atmosphere!

Looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion? Look no further! Recently, I took my two sons and their lovely wives out for a night to toast a new job and new business venture. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for catching up and sharing stories. The staff was attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. But the true star of the evening was the food. The filet was cooked to perfection and the tag Leap wine wasn't overpriced. Overall, I can't recommend McKendricks highly enough. It's the perfect place for a special occasion or just a delightful evening out and we really enjoyed taking my kids out for truly fine dining!

Was seated on time for 6:45 reservation. Ordered promptly, including appetizers, and everything, appetizers and entrees, were served at the same time, within 10 minutes of ordering. Way too fast, didn't even have time to enjoy a glass of wine and my date's cocktail before a full delivery of food was on the table. I don't know if they wanted to turn the table another time that evening or not, and if that was the reason for the "hurry up," but dinner was rushed, and therefore not particularly enjoyable. Pace yourselves, folks....

Upon arrival, we were greeted unwelcoming. The hostess confused the other half of our party that hadn't arrived yet with a party that they didn't allow in for dress code. That was quite embarrassing as it had nothing to do with our party. We had a reservation for 8:15pm, and they close at 10pm which should be plenty of time for our party of 5 to enjoy our meal without feeling rushed. Upon ordering our appetizers we were asked about our entrees. We asked to wait until we had apps and were told the kitchen is closing so you'll have to put in for your entrees now. Our entire party was overall unsatisfied with the food. The calamari was good, salads were okay, but the steaks, oysters and fish entrée were mediocre. The au gratin potatoes were as though they had been sitting in the dish for hours before being served to us. Our bill was split into two (one for three of us and the other for two of us), and was completely inaccurate (not just one or two things on the wrong bill) so we had him adjust it. The adjusted bill was still incorrect but we let it go and didn't say anything. I have dined with McKendrick's about 10 times over the past 12 years since being local and will say it was such a disappointment that it will most likely be the last visit.

Steaks are very good, but not quite as good as visits in years past and not quite worth the cost. The ambiance, service, and attention to detail were just as good as we remembered.

The food was good and it was what you would expect from a high-end steakhouse. The steak was on par with other Atlanta steakhouses, but I felt the Brussel Sprouts came up a bit short. Overall, i don't have any real complaints though. The service however... was top notch!

Take into account that Valentine's Day is a very busy day for the restaurant. Went well: - Food was outstanding (chefs cut porterhouse, lamb chops, lobster bisque, crab cakes, spinach, lobster mac, and cheese cake. I cannot praise it enough. - Drinks were outstanding. We ordered old fashion's and a bottle of Bolinger Champagne. - Server was knowledgeable and friendly Could be a little better: - Server failed to mention the specials. We had to ask for them. - Bartender was slow to acknowledge us (we arrive to the restaurant 30 minutes before our reservation so we had drinks at the bar.)

McKendrick's has always been one of my favorite places to dine. Took my wife for a special Valentine's dinner. Maybe they were just too busy, but we were definitely disappointed. Waiter was not very friendly, however his assistant wait staff couldn't have been more polite and helpful. My wife wanted her steak just slightly pink in the center, just short of well done. That's the way she likes it. The waiter insisted that it be ordered medium well so it didn't dry out. Well guess what, we had to send it back and the rest of the food, including my steak sat just sat there as we waited. My Cesar salad was about half of the usual size. The price did not change. Was not a Happy Valentine at McKendrick's!

We celebrated our anniversary with a late lunch in middle of the week. Not crowded and service was excellent. As we were in no hurry, we requested our waiter to go slowly in bringing food, and he checked/monitored us to see when we would like the next course. Food is delicious and beautifully presented. Drinks were very good also. As with most good steak houses, prices are high, but food is excellent.

I have been coming here for years for the fish. They have very good options. You can tell they use fresh ingredients when preparing the food. I bring family and friends and they rave about it too.
