A patient brought in a red velvet cake for our office and it was phenomenal!!! The best red velvet cake I’ve ever had in life. I don’t like chocolate cake but I love red velvet. The icing was phenomenal and cake was moist. Will definitely be ordering cakes from Metro Bakery in the future!

We’ve loved our cakes in the past, but made a huge mistake ordering the cannoli cake for a family birthday party. We mistakenly read the description for the cannoli cheesecake, which said nothing about being almond-flavor. There is nothing subtle about the over-powering flavor of almond in the cannoli cake. Not one person in our 30-person family, including sweet-obsessed toddlers could stomach more than a bite.

They need to update their website to tell people they are NOT taking orders. They need to update their phone message to say we will not be responding to messages until After Thanksgiving. They need to not over bake cakes. The Key Lime cake has NO taste. All the flavor is in the icing. The cake should be moist, not dry and crumbly.

I had an excellent experience ordering a custom birthday cake for my wife. I called and submitted some ideas and I was pleased with the email correspondence with Rosy the bakery manager to get exactly what I wanted. We were super impressed with the level of detail in the Peony flowers that my wife loves. She was happy, I was happy and the White Chocolate Mouse cake was amazing. It was moist and full of flavor and still tasted great a day later and the day after that. I will definitely be coming back in the future. Thanks!

First time customer. So I placed an order during the first week on September for my mother’s birthday. Come to the day where I’m picking up the cupcakes(30), they mistook the amount of cupcakes I wanted. Not a big problem, they go more from the back. However, when I get home and start trying them with my family, the red velvet and German chocolate cupcakes taste stale and dry(especially when it’s supposed to compliment the icing). And one thing that mad it worse was that I had ordered white chocolate raspberry, but got white chocolate buttercream(I’m not sure if that’s the exact cupcake, but the cupcakes weren’t filled) instead. So yeah, we’re definitely not coming back here.

Words cannot express how wonderful these people are and how talented . Just beyond words . The custom cake was perfect . We did a southern cake pull for bridesmaids with sterling silver charms placed under the cake. I mailed them to Loradona and she created a masterpiece that was so beautiful and delicious !

Been coming here for 15 years. The Tiramisu Pie is our top pick. Nothing beats it!

This bakery is the best! I got my son the Rainbow Cake for his birthday today, and it was delicious! It's so moist and the icing was delicious! This is the best place to get a cake, and the staff is so nice and friendly!

Ok, so before I issue my biggest disappointment I want to say I actually do enjoy the metro cafes brand. They have a variety of desserts that, when the one you want is actually available, are tasty great treats. The brands, Joe's on Juniper, Hudson Grille, Sugar Shack, Guaco Joe's, Einstein's, Metrotainment Bakery, and, formerly, Cowtippers, are generally great places to get a good meal. In fact, seeing their desserts served at an unaffiliated cafe is what made me hunt them down and become a customer in the first place. So why not a shining 5th Star. It, in my opinion, has lost the spark which I loved. For instance I am a red velvet cake person, and so I would buy those cake slices often (a popular item based on the number of times I missed those slices when sold), either from Metrotainment Bakery, or from Cowtippers (when it was still an operating business) when the Bakery was closed. (I don't go to Sugar Shack due to a personal experience and things I witnessed there. Plus they tend to be a bit stingy with the cake slices.) Now, getting those slices is like hunting a unicorn, you see pictures, but never the real thing. (Especially true since Cowtippers has closed). Likewise, there is a policy in leaving reviews that the manager of a Metrotainment Cafe responds within 24-48 hours. I had an experience with a Hudson Grill in Midtown which wasn't positive and was the second such (in the case I am referring to, I ordered a to go order, and after a half an hour I inquired how much longer it would take for the order, I was informed it would be soon and I returned to waiting as a couple came in, were seated and received their food before I did, an order of burgers which I ordered as well. At this point I had been waiting an hour and asked to speak with a duty manager. Explaining the situation, the manager became dismissive, and didn't even acknowledge that a mistake had taken place. Instead, he simply placed the blame on me as well as the situation and sent me off. ) I e-mailed the review which the store managers received and never received a response (I learned later that this store manager never responded to reviews) which was contrary to policy. As such things that I have noted, as well as other patrons have noted seemed to be ignored and improvements aren't made. Lastly, on Metrotainment Bakery, small things, like the website still showing the Christmas menu and not the new Valentine's Day menu is a thing. All in all, I do love the desserts, and the atmosphere of places like Einstein's (Though you go there for the atmosphere, not for a quick dessert slice as they are priced higher when compared to another Metrotainment Cafe neighbor next door, which is) Joe's on Juniper, (which has a great collection of cheesecake and cake slices [like once in a solar eclipse, red velvet cake] but has very limited parking unless you want to pay for the valet (Not for a couple of slices of cake…but definitely to spend time for a good meal.) and desserts crafted at Metrotainment Bakery (especially when they actually have cake slices) but these and other things have happened which has required me to write this review.

I went to a friends birthday party over this past weekend. I had the chocolate peanut butter cake. The cake looked amazing, however, the cake itself was stale. I was really surprised because others Have had good luck with this bakery. I will admit that the icing was decent, I felt kind of sorry for the person who had the birthday. If I could I would give 2 1/2 stars but since I cannot I’m going to give them two stars.

Metrotainment Bakery made my wedding cake. It is the most delicious wedding cake I have ever tasted. On top of that, they made the cake almost exactly like the design I showed them. It looked and tasted beautiful! I highly recommend this bakery to anyone in the Atlanta area looking for a special cake for a special occasion.
