As a 26 year resident who's lived all over Atlanta, I hope Motorboat becomes a landmark staple. I visited on a night where staff was limited but Rebecca held it down managing the bar and the floor. She makes a pretty good old fashioned. However, there's room for improvement on the specialty cocktails.
Now for the food, tomato soup was very good. My party ordered the Chicago and the rachel. They were both good but not flavor bombs as. I feel the food was just OK when it should be crave worthy considering the location. Atl is not known for sandwiches so there's an opportunity here to fill a need. Especially, with all the transplants who love sandwiches. If I can get a note worthy sandwich in Chicago or NY for $14 why should I pay $17 for a basic one in Atl.

The food is always good and the bartenders are great, super nice people, efficient and they know what you want almost as quick as you do.
I was there last Saturday night. It was packed, probably not 3 empty seats in the whole place. Food and drinks were still coming promptly. I thought Larry must have some magic that had him doing the work of 2 or 3 people and still keeping up with it all.

A friend had been raving about Motorboat, so I visited for the first time a couple days ago. I was pleasantly surprised. I drive by this place at least once a week, but I've never really paid attention to it. Anyway, vibes and service were great. Larry (the bartender) was so attentive and just a cool guy in general. I'd go back just to hang with him for a bit!

Great sandwiches and service, but a potato salad or even coleslaw side option would go so far! Chips and 2 different mediocre pasta salad options bring the whole meal down, no matter the sandwich choice. That being said, all the sandwiches are 10/10.

Legit Muffuletta. Finally had a moment this Sunday to pop in for a soup and sandwich. Excited to try the other soup option, but v much enjoyed the tomato soup. Had an entire half of my sandwich left over for the next day. Sat and chatted with the restaurateur and Lee the bartender. Wicked smart and fun gals. Big Fan. That soup and sammie was a hell of a hangover cure ;) I'll be back ASAP.

My friends and I were in the middle of a Christmas crawl and walked by this place when it was quiet slow. 23 people walked in to Larry manning the bar. He managed to take care of every single one of the Santa's and drunk owls all while making sure we had a great time. I couldn't recommend the place enough and in terms of late night food it is great
