One of my favorite restaurants. A neighborhood staple with a great mix of food. It always seems like anyone can find something they want here.

I took my youngest sonās girlfriend here so that we could talk and get to know each other. It was nice. I really love the atmosphere and the decor! I felt like I was in New York and famous or something. š©š¤¦š½āāļø š¤·š½āāļø. The funny thing is, it is small too, but it didnāt feel like it. Perhaps the windows make it feel bigger. I donāt know, but it didnāt feel claustrophobic. The bricks, the nice glasses even for our water, the clean large windowsāit just felt really upscale. I gave this restaurant 4 stars because I canāt remember my food! It was only a year ago, and good food stays in my head. I donāt even see a picture of it, but I know the food wasnāt bad. I really would have remembered that. Anyway, it is a nice place.

We enjoyed our time at Murphy's. Our waitress was kind and did a good job overall. The food was fantastic, especially the yellow fin tuna salad. It was fresh, seasonal, and felt healthy to eat. I would highly recommend.
We waited a bit longer for our food than expected, but the waitress was apologetic and expressed that the kitchen was very busy, which is completely understandable.
As for the atmosphere, it was loud, and difficult to have a conversation at a 2x3 table. Two folks were always excluded, which is difficult. The decor and the environment were swell though, and I enjoyed the time we spent here.
Absolutely worth a visit, if not a monthly one.

Wonderful birthday lunch for girlfriends. Even cool enough for outdoor seating must be A.C. The decor and lighting must be lovely at night.

Absolutely wonderful every time we go, our server seemed a little scattered but got it together, food is top notch! We drive 2 hours to eat their brunch if that tells you anything.
The food was undesirable. Our waiter was slow and inattentive. The patio was hot and at times felt as if the heat was on. This used to be one of my parents favorite places to go for brunch, not anymore.
We pre-booked weeks in advance several separate reservations for a group of 30 after the Peachtree Road Race. They accommodated sitting us all in the same space at three long separate tables. We were able to celebrate post race with each other and the brunch was delicious. With so many new breakfast spots in Atlanta I hadn't been to Murphys since college but I will be back. It's a great location, great food and I love that you can walk around the quaint downtown area after you eat. The stone ground grits, breakfast potatoes, malted waffle, pancakes...let's just say everyone enjoyed their breakfast from our littles to the adults.
Delicious. old school.
