If there was a way for me to give 0 stars I would, I ordered fufu and egusi, and the egusi was the most watered down un seasoned food I ever had 0/10 wouldn’t recommend!!

Absolutely Disgusting and Unsafe – Avoid at All Costs

I placed a $100+ order from Nations Cafe & Lounge on uber eats that included Goat Stew, Jamaican Beef Patty, Supreme Tomato Onion Sauce, and Curry Chicken. Not only was the Curry Chicken missing entirely, but the biggest shock came with the fufu — there was a baby cockroach embedded in the food.

Let that sink in. A roach cooked into the fufu, sealed in plastic wrap, and served as if this was normal. That is a public health hazard. No food establishment should be operating under conditions where this is even possible.

This place is clearly failing basic sanitation. If roaches are in the food, imagine what’s behind the kitchen doors. The rating I gave (1 stars) does not reflect the true horror of this experience; it should be negative stars if that were allowed.

To anyone considering eating here: don’t. You are risking your health. There’s no excuse for this level of negligence. I’ll be reporting this to the health department, and I strongly urge others to do the same.

The man that was running the place (and the only person in the place), was very nice, good personality. I ordered me Lamb Suya, which is supposed to have been tender pieces of lamb with a side of sliced onion tomato and something else I forgot. But the lamb was very hard pieces that I could hardly chew, there were about three tender pieces in it that had a good flavor, but for the most part it was all dried out. And a few slices of onion, (pieces really), I had to ask for more onions. I didn't get no tomatoes. And it was $16 but the portion was only about $8 worth. But I wouldn't recommend going to eat there

So I ordered via doordash terrible decision cause if I went in person I would’ve gotten a refund immediately…My food overall tasted old asf…the rice tastes like it was made 3 days ago and simply reheated..the “Suya” was underwhelming and overcooked! It doesn’t even taste like traditional Suya at that and the seasoning doesn’t taste authentic either really just taste like regular seasoning salt the only thing that actually was edible was the plantains and I found plastic in my food I damn near chocked…ultimately I’m pissed a waste of money

My first trying it on on 3/15/25 the food was terrible $45 for some oxtails stewed in some type of Ragu sauce then I ask for a small Jollof rice they charges me $10 and the rice was horrible I wish I would have looked at my food before I left because he just handed me the bag with all that food I will never go back don’t waist your time…
