Definitely not worth the hype. The restaurant is decorated beautifully inside, but the experience didn’t match the atmosphere.

I had a 9:00 pm reservation for two and arrived at 8:55 pm. It still took a while for us to be seated and greeted, even though the only occupied table was a large party. There were two servers working; one was handling the large group alone while the other assisted the rest of the empty dining room. The server assisting the large party is the one who ended up seating us.

The tables for two are noticeably small, and the plates are oversized, so the table became crowded quickly. If you plan to order multiple items, be prepared for very limited space.

We ordered the oxtail stew with a side of macaroni and cheese, the curry chicken, and the jerk wings. The food took a while to come out, and when it did, the oxtail stew was mostly bones. The jerk wings were just okay, but not even warm when they arrived, which was disappointing for the price point. The curry chicken wasn’t memorable either.

When the waiter asked how everything was, I mentioned that the oxtail stew was mostly bones. He went to check with the kitchen and came back to say they had served me the “last bit” of the oxtail, that’s why it was nearly all bones. Hearing that only made the situation worse. If a dish is nearly gone or mostly scraps, that should absolutely be communicated before serving it, not after the customer complains.

He offered to give me brown stew chicken to go, but at that point I wasn’t interested in trying anything else. We made a reservation and did not arrive close to closing, so serving leftover portions was surprising and disappointing.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you’re looking for somewhere to sit and pass time without expecting good food or good service.

My friend & I drove 1 hour to get to this restaurant. I was telling him how great it was the last few times that I went. So we were very excited to go. I must say, the new location has a completely different vibe from the previous location. Noone was at the front to greet us when we walked in. The space was cold & uninviting. The prices were way over priced for the portion sizes. We sat down, looked over the menu, looked around at the dead vibe, got up & walked out. That was a total waist of our time.

Codfish fritters not the way we usually make them in the islands... Ribs , oxtail was good, tender and nice. Oh the bread pudding was good!!

The food was good. The place was clean. Customer service was good. It was pretty empty. The location is desolate.

Yesterday, I visited Negril ATL excited to try a new Caribbean spot. The restaurant layout was very nice and gave a great first impression.

I ordered the Oxtails to-go, but unfortunately, I was disappointed by both the high price and the very small portion size. When I checked my receipt, I also noticed a 20% gratuity automatically added to my takeout lunch, which felt unreasonable.

The biggest letdown, though, was the food itself — the oxtails were mostly bones and lacked flavor, and even the rice and peas were undercooked.

Overall, I left feeling very disappointed. Be aware of the price hike, small portions, and added gratuity if you decide to give this place a try.

Peter and his team truly know their craft in the kitchen. The food is rich with flavor, and the oxtail is perfectly tender, melting in your mouth with every bite. Every dish is seasoned beautifully and full of authentic taste. Without a doubt, this is the best West Indian food I’ve ever enjoyed.

Just look at the presentation in the pictures. Tell me you don’t want to just stuff your face?!?!

Visited Negril Atl, because i loved the former location downtown. Mu family was a bit disappointed with food since they came from out of town and wanted the experiance. Smaller atmosphere but free parking. Would check back when they have their liquor licenses. Wish they would have live music.
There is a 20% automatic gratuity for a party of 4 and larger.
Reservations are recommended.

I ordered the Sunday Lunch, I’d order it again! However, I’ll never dine here again. We had reservations for a party of 10 at 6 PM, we were finally served entrees at 8:30 PM. They were out of items that our party ordered & we never even got water refills. The whole restaurant had 2 people working front of house - this means there’s no hostess, no one answering the phone, no one helping delivery people, no one bussing tables, no one refilling drinks… it was a mess & the waitress clearly had a bad attitude. They also don’t have a liquor license, so they charge $14 for a mocktail…

Good food but I won’t be returning.

My husband came here before and wanted me to try this amazing gem. We went when they just opened the new location so they didn’t have drinks but had great mocktail options! We made our own 😆 but food was so good! Coconut shrimp was so good and crunchy and had great entree options it was so hard to decide. This is an amazing gem, I would definitely come again and again 💕💕

Honestly, this was the best Jamaican food I’ve ever had and that says a lot because of my Caribbean background. The experience there from the food to the service to the atmosphere was definitely top-tier compared to the restaurants I’ve been to living in central Florida. I definitely feel like everything was fresh especially the juice. I had a pineapple ginger juice and I felt the kick from the ginger. The food came out within 10 minutes of our order and it was nice and hot. The mac & cheese I can tell came straight out the oven. It was delicious and we had leftovers. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in ATL.

Everything was going pretty well for my mother-in-law‘s birthday brunch despite my dad’s dish coming 15min after everyone else’s. They were also kind enough to accommodate my sister with a takeout order. Why we won’t return or recommend: check came and the deceitful waitress decided to tell my husband that the 20% added to the check was actually a “service fee” not gratuity. I repeat she said that the 20% that was on the check was not gratuity, which was just a blatant lie. It really be your own people. Had it not been for this greedy grimy behavior we probably would’ve returned again. I won’t be recommending and I’ll never go back.

Way too pricey for the portion!!! Low quality food. I had 3 pieces of not so fresh jerk chicken, dry, old and tasted heated and heated for days. I believed it was microwaved. Very little portion of rice and peas, 2 slices of plantains, and a sizable portion of veggies for $30+!!!!
Definitely would not recommend.
