I've heard a lot about this place and always see long lines. Finally went and was seated fast. It really wasn't all that I hoped it was. First, parking is limited in front, on the side, in the alley and then across the street (not recommended). They have a great selection of vegetarian dishes so this was a plus. I didn't verify though if the rice and beans were free of meat broth/seasoning and lard/grease. I ordered the chille relleno. It was not what I expected it to be. I thought it would've been battered in the egg and fried with the sauce, it was open with no egg and sauce. The stuffing mix could've used more seasoning, this really surprised me, i was expecting seasoned stuffing. My kid got the vegetarian enchiladas, those were ok. I may try it again but something different. The chips and salsa were on point, horchata could use some more sweetener.

The food was really good and the service and atmosphere were great. Not your typical Mexican restaurant food, similar but different. Everything was very good. What I read is that it was supposed to be like home cooked food, and I can see the reason.

I've been riding pass this restaurant for years and I decided to go inside and grab something to eat to go. Once inside, we instantly changed our minds and decided to get a table. Great server, the best margarita I've ever had, and the food was delicious, OMG!
This is our new favorite restaurant.

So l have not been back to NL since the mid 90s. I went to lunch there with a friend 2 weeks ago. I ordered the signature dish, the Chicken Mole since this is a traditional dish and the reviews l read were all pretty good. Well tbh it was very lackluster. A few chunks of unseasoned chicken breast covered with some kind of dark sauce the looked like it came out of a can and tasted same. Very bland. The beans (pinto) and rice were also exceptionally bland, there just to fill out the plate. The small salad also on the same plate was a waste of time. Also came with tortillas, l chose corn and they were all stuck together in a big blob inside of paper barely warm and useless. Chips and salsa was very good so l got filled up :). My friend got some kind of chicken based soup with avocado floating around in it and a quarter chicken of dark meat plain with l think a bed of rice. He liked everything he has to watch his diet for fat. We did not get alcohol. Service was excellent and everyone seemed to be having a good time, the foursome beside us were on their second pitcher of margaritas before the food showed up and this was lunch. Probably driving one of the monster pick up trucks out front. All of these years of waiting to go back to NL, will not be returning.

A true local dive. The place is somewhat small, so be prepared to wait in busy times, but the bar serves those in line with their amazing cocktails, and once you get a table the full menu is high quality, with unique and flavorful dishes.
Parking: There are three lots, in front, next door, and across the street.
Wheelchair accessibility: Parking can be tight, there is a ramp, but part of the seating is accessed via stairs and in close quarters.

Let me start by saying my waitress was extremely nice and the other staff too. But I will never go here again. I went to have dinner with a friend and my 5 year old son who has a disability. My son is autistic and nonverbal. The owner walked to my table and in front of everyone yelled at me to "Make my son stop making noise". I told him he needed to walk away. He replied that he owned the place and would call the police if I didn't make my son quiet. He continued to stand over my child and myself, intimidating and insulting me in a restaurant full of people. It was already loud and lots of families there. I don't know why he singled me out and made my son who has a disability for the rest of his life feel the way he did. I wouldn't come here ever again.
Kid-friendliness: Not at all
We have somehow never tried this Atlanta staple that has been around since the 90’s, until recently! I had heard of Nuevo Laredo before but just had not ventured to try it. We decided to go recently on the weekend and we were super happy with our choice! We got there early, like 5:00 pm, because I read reviews saying there were no reservations and the wait list can get pretty long around supper time. We were seated right away when we went! It’s a super quaint, cute, very 90’s-esque Mexican restaurant with a cozy feel.
The staff was 10/10 and very attentive! I highly recommend the Nuevo Laredo marg, it was phenomenal. I got the mixed fajitas and they were also so delicious! I usually don’t like the grilled chicken I get with fajitas, but this chicken was so good! The salsa is A1 too, as was the guac. We literally loved it!! I highly recommend, especially if you love Mexican food. We will definitely return!

As someone that isn't the biggest Mexican Food fan, I actually enjoyed the meal the fajita and quesadilla that I had which I cannot often say. Also, my server was delightful and constantly checking on my party.

I used to come here often in the early '00s before moving away from the city. Decades later returning for a visit, NLC is just as good today as it was then. The food never disappoints and margaritas are a must. Be prepared for a short wait and a lively crowd on busy nights.

Nuevo Laredo is such a fun place and the food is always consistently good.. for one simple example, The salsa is very fresh flavorful homemade and sticks to the chips so that it's not runny like in many other places. The service is impeccable.

Though the quality of food and service of staff is excellent, the place is cramped with too many tables and noisy.
However, the whole set up and decirations look unique and traditional.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options available.
Parking: There us ample parking space and did not have any difficulty.
