I had an amazing experience at O-Ku; it’s one of the chicest sushi spots in the city. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, and the atmosphere felt upscale but still relaxed.
The service really made the night, especially from Allena. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and honestly hilarious, which made the whole experience even better. Overall, O-Ku delivers on food, vibe, and hospitality; I’ll definitely be back.

We went to Oku 1/31/26 for my wife’s birthday. We have been to Oku once before and found the sushi and menu to be really intesting and a great place to celebrate birthdays, job promotions, etc. However, our second dining experience, left us a little frustrated and confused why the service had taken such a dive bomb from our first experience. We walked in were greeted and chose to sit at a high top rather than be squeezed into a 2 top in between other parties to make the atmosphere more isolated and special for my wife. We are former industry workers and find that sometimes sitting at the bar or bar area can give better service. Our server Miles started off by taking our drink order but after that we waited what seemed to be 15-20minutes before we were even asked what we wanted to eat, we came here with the intention of ordering a lot of food which we did, but it was very challenging as the bartender hardly ever checked on us in between courses. Both of our cocktails were empty and we had to ask another server to get annother round of wine and place more food orders.
Long story short, you would think if you spent over $200 on a dining experience, especially when you made a reservation in advance for a birthday that a little more effort would be put into taking care of the guests and birth recipient. We both had two cocktails and ordered a plethora of food and we’re not skimping and found it very hard to enjoy the experience based on our servers absence. The restaurant was not busy so I’m not sure why this landed on us. I would like to eat here again as the food is very good, but I am not sure the service is worth the money spent.

The food definitely can stand to be improved. The snow crab nigiri was bland and dry and the toro was okay. The wagyu roll was chewy and not buttery soft, as wagyu typically is. The pricing doesn’t align with the quality of the meal. The service was excellent though!!

If you like their low budget sushi you were probably born in the in the late 90 or 2000… and don’t know any better.

I have dietary restrictions and our server was awesome. Took care of my needs and had a great personality.
BEST SUSHI I'VE EVER HAD!
Good food, service was a little slow and loud environment. The signature nigiri flight is worth trying, I admire the creativity and enjoyed the variety.
The sake misoyaki is phenomenal. Otoro wasn’t that fatty or tender which was disappointing.

Myles was the best bartender and made our dinner at the bar a perfect night! Happy Hour deals on food are great.

We were celebrating my nephew's 22nd birthday. He loves sushi. They were very accommodating with the birthday cake we brought and with my shell fish allergy. They even had candles? I was very impressed with our server jazz and the food. Would reccomend.
Everything about our dining experience was 11/10! The greeting, the attentive service, the meal selections, dessert, and overall evening was GREAT! Will definitely celebrate with O-ku in the again in the very near future.
My sister has been begging me to try this place for a while, and I am SO glad I finally did. We were here for a farewell party for a friend that’s moving out of country, and Ok-u made the occasion feel so tailored and so so special.
Allena was our server and she was PHENOMENAL. Super attentive, hilarious, not overbearing at all, and exceptional menu knowledge. Honestly, she’s one of the best servers I’ve had at any restaurant!!
The restaurant did special menus for the party, the manager came and checked on us a couple times, Allena brought out a complimentary dessert for us - everything just felt really personalized and genuine. The food was no less - probably the best sushi I’ve had in the Atlanta area (and we eat a lot of sushi!)
Only docked points from atmosphere because it was pretty loud. People were clearly enjoying themselves, we just generally visit quieter restaurants in the suburbs. Having said that, I will happily be driving an hour each way to eat here again!!!

This place is really special and provides an amazing experience, perfect for special occasion or just for romantic night.
Every dish was made with so much attention to details, was tasty and full of flavor.
We took the westside Sushi roll, the wagyu temaki, crudo flight, nigiri of yellowtail and red tuna, the marbled forest Hakozushi and edamame with truffle salt.
Everything was delicious and provides a great variety. The service was very attentive and welcoming and our waitress helped us a lot with making decision according to our preferences.

Great food. Sushi was extremely slow. Non-sushi dinners came out 30 mins before the sushi.
