Really enjoyed this restaurant. Fairly small, but vibrant setting. Excellent service. But, the food was even better - caprese salad was very good (excellent tomatoes); had the tortelli de mele as the main course - truly outstanding. Tiramisu to top it off which was great. Split meal with wife and there was plenty. Prices are extremely reasonable. All things considered, one of the best meals I've had in quite a while.
Excellent service! Our server was excellent. Food and drinks arrived in a timely manner. The calamari breading was crunchy but lacked flavor. I had the chefs special Bolognese made with Italian sausage and spinach pasta. It was very good and was a filling serving. My date had a chicken gnocchi dish which they didn't rave about. I tasted it and found it to be just ok. I wished for a bit more flavor. Our two cocktails (II Capitano and Flaminia) were excellent. I'd try...
Overall, I would recommend Pasta da Pulcinella. The atmosphere is warm and like being in someone's home. I had the Caesar salad and the lobster ravioli. The salad had more character than the usual Caesar salad, a good thing. The lobster ravioli was rich and yummy with a portion size that satisfied but did not overwhelm. I was too full for dessert. I took a star off because the service was a bit off. I told our server that we had an 8 pm show (our reservation was for 6 pm)....
