went for the first time today and it was okay, not overly impressed for a virginia highland cafe
the egg and cheese bagel i got was good except the bagel wasn't toasted it was just maybe microwaved which was strange
kinda soggy instead of toasty like i would expect a bagel to be
the mocha latte i got was interesting, way too sweet and was supposed to have graham crackers and marshmallows on top but those sunk to the bottom and by the time i was finishing the way too sweet drink they were soggy and disgusting and i had to spit it out
also confused by the concept over all and the workers seemed more concerned with the music playing than actually getting peoples orders made
for $17 for a bagel and coffee, i will not be returning

I do not understand the hype of this place...

1. They don't do "pumps" for people who are fans of having more flavored coffee.
2. I understand it's a coffee shop, but they had very few herbal/non-caf items.
3. The service... I ordered a tea (just a tea) & they 'lost the ticket', other people were getting their beverages before me when I had a very simple order.

Needless to say I feel like there are better, closer coffee shops with a better menu & service.

I had the salmon bagel, it was delicious, the coffee was great too. The atmosphere was okay. No vibes, and for the pricepoint, I would expect more of an ambiance, but still give it a 5 overall.

I have visited this place a couple times and I really like it. The baristas are great at their job and it seems like really care about providing good service.

What really struck me here is how good the food is. I was kinda shocked as I always thought of food as an afterthought at most coffee shops. I have had The Deluxe and The Crunchwrap and they are both phenomenal. They feel like full meals and not simple add-ons to go with the coffee.

Highly recommend.

I loved the branding and vibes. My blended coffee drink was delicious and the food looked good, but we didn’t try it. I’m just bummed it’s not better for working. The WiFi was terrible. When we all lost connection we asked the barista to reboot and he seemed disinterested. I tried attending a zoom call and it was an embarrassingly bad connection. We had to leave instead of ordering lunch as planned. I’d say by the loud volume of the music they aren’t interested in anyone working or talking or staying long? I could have managed with the noise but not bad wifi. Sad because it’s hard to find a coffee shop with just the right feel to make me want to come back daily and it otherwise fit the bill.

$6 drip coffee…..that’s all I’ll say. I assumed the coffee was blessed by the pope or had gold bits in it but nay, a very average cup of coffee

Alright, coffee shops have gone way too far. I was just trying to order an iced latte with oat milk and syrup and the barista really said I needed to order one of the whack-azz 5-ingredient coffees on the menu -- it was honestly so jarring I had to ask, 'this is like a normal coffee order, right? Like i would be able to normally order this anywhere else, right?'

The people really don't need anymore nonsensical bisexual coffees, just a latte with one flavor, ONE syrup (and a sugar-free option if I'm allowed to even go that far). I feel bad for the barista who definitely had to give the same runaround to at least six of my friends who showed up after I did. WILD.
