Great service. All meals we had were top notch in presentation and deliciousness. Never been disappointed here.
The food was good. The place was quiet due to the time of day (2:00pm). We were not offered a wine list, but that was ok. They were out of one of the desserts we wanted. Temp was a little cold..
We celebrated Bastille Day at Petite Violette. Our waiter was excellent. We had a very nice table, the food was great as always. Their menu always has a nice selection, so it is hard to decide what to order. They had a fried green tomato appetizer that we shared and everyone loved. We were there on a Sunday night, so it was relatively quiet and we were able to sit in the front of the restaurant (which is my favorite room). Will be back again soon.
Everything was very good. Food, service, wine options. There were 4 of us. 3 of us thought that the food was very good to excellent. One said that her trout was a little bit salty but she still enjoyed it. Among us we had onion soup, mussels, coq au vin, fried green tomatoes and the trout.
I was surprised to see that prices had not gone up a lot like it has at other comparable restaurants Food was excellent!
Had a wonderful meal. Coquilles St. Jacque was terrific. Large portion, nicely presented and prepared to perfection with tender scallops, sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes. Steak frittes was outstanding, with delectable steak and French fries. Awesome apple tart with ice cream for dessert. Just the right size for two who would "like a taste" to share. Salad also large enough for two to share. Have done that many times. Petit Violette never disappoints.
Service was slow. Was seated without a menu. Waiter was very slow in bringing menus, water and wine. Took 35 minutes to get onions soup....which we must say was very good. Just came back from France....no comparison to this restaurant. The rest of dinner... ( weiner schnitzel)just so-so. Not very flavorful.
Always a lovely experience and good food at Petite Violette's! We were a little surprised at high increase in prices.
This is a great find! I highly recommend the boeuf bourgignon, the salmon, the desserts, and the latte; all were of excellent quality and rich in flavor. However, I’ve docked a star because in my opinion the coq au vin and salad alsacienne (as well as the bread rolls served as an appetizer) were disappointing. But there are definitely some amazing options here, so I’d be sure to give this place a try! (P.S. There are lovely live musical accompaniments to the meal after 6.)

Had dinner there last night. Had the pappadelle pasta with shrimp and many other additions. It was delicious, generous portions, and our waiter was very solicitous.
