This used to be one of my favorite cake spots in Atlanta. They had those classic Southern-style desserts that were full of flavor—the kind that filled up the box and felt homemade. The Red Velvet Cake with cream cheese frosting was my absolute favorite. Lately, though, it feels like they’ve gone more commercial. The ingredients don’t taste as fresh, and the cakes no longer have that same rich, homemade quality. It’s disappointing because this place used to stand out for its authenticity and care. I really hope they return to what made them special in the first place—it’s a shame to see such a beloved dessert shop lose its original touch.

I’ve been a fan for the past 5 years, which is why it pains me to leave this review.
The fiancé and I decided to stop in today for the Tuesday BOGO 50% and try some different flavors, as we typically get the strawberry and red velvet. The only thing that tasted good was the cream cheese frosting. The cakes (I.e., carrot cake and white chocolate) were so dry that he said we cannot go back, and he didn’t even want to finish it. They’re also changing the loyalty program. There’s no telling what that will look like going forward.
Ever since they sold off to a new company, the quality and flavor selections have gradually deteriorated. It’s so unfortunate because they really had a good thing going before all of the unnecessary changes. I truly miss the old Piece of Cake 🥲

I stopped in for a slice of cake for a friend’s birthday, Kamora advised me that they can’t accept tap yet. I was in disbelief and disappointed due to me not carrying a wallet. She absolutely saved the day when she told me to do a pick up on door dash! I ordered the cake slice online and paid for it that way. I can really appreciate an associate that’s solution driven. Thank you Kamora (I hope I spelled that right).

Too bad the new management got rid of the 5 layer bar. It was my favorite. I was told it was discounted because they are going to sell what sells.
I went the Sunday before Christmas. The first red flag was the parking lot was empty. I thought the store was closed. I went in and got my online order. The cupcakes were hard and stale. I used to go to this location all the time and it was always very busy so I was very surprised when there was no one there and now I see why.

I was not disappointed, these cupcakes were some of the best! They were a great size and the flavors were great! The icing was not overly sweet and the cake part had perfect moisture and texture. I can’t wait to order again!

Very very disappoint in the way piece of cake handle my online order after I paid 70$ for a cake and you allowed DoorDash to take my purchase cake to a stranger home and I would not have known until the other customer call me an told me my cake was at her home. I have nothing nice to say about piece of cake right now. Except that was bad business and you all need to set in policy to do better with making things right for your customers. With those high ass cakes. And sorry customer service skill and I'm a chef so I know I was served wack service today by a piece of cake.
