this Pizza Hut is well deserving of its low star rating. I would say this is a example of a perfect combination of incompetence from both the Enterprise to the franchise level. I've never seen more helpless people in my life. I've never talked to so many helpless people in less than 1 hour. I've never consistently encountered helpless people at one company over a 30-day period.
I'm going to give you the long version but let's start with the short summary: Pizza Hut promised me a birthday reward and every time I tried to claim it along with a purchase as required I got what I purchased but never the reward. It's pretty much a scam. 🤷
so let's start this inconfidence off at the Enterprise level... here's what happened. I'm an old customer, decades old, so they coded and online program for birthday rewards but never included their old customers in this program. they also did not give their old customers a way to sign up for the program or enter their birth date information so Pizza Hut would basically never be aware of my birthday although they advertise that I get free food or something on my birthday.
well on my birthday I walk into Pizza Hut and wish to order a pizza and show my ID to show that it is indeed my birthday and they told me I need to call customer service. then customer service tells me I need to call some rewards hotline. then the rewards hotline tells me that I'm going to have to wait to receive an email and that should happen somewhere in between July 1st and the end of July. that was nice.
then I unexpectedly get the email before the quarter ends so I attempt to use it on three occasions at the store on metropolitan. each time my order is accepted and I show up at the store only to be given what I purchased and not the free food item that I selected from my rewards. why? well, they said they were out. so a cashier can unilaterally deny the reward based on inventory which makes sense but here's where the scaming gets real....
once the coupon code is used they can't refund it so I can't use the coupon code again. at the same time when I contact the store about it they tell me I have to meet in person with a general or regional manager in order to get it resolved. however they know that they do this whenever they feel they need to. they know that they give the lowest ranking member the option to initiate this scam and they know that they are not going to resolve it. The object was to get me to order food and come into the store without them using assets for delivery. it was never about appreciation or a birthday or anything like that. they didn't even try to accomplish that when they implemented the program. lol
so basically you have a complicitous and a collusion between the corporate side of the brand and the franchise side of the brand. they both do it together in Union to win. well when I tried to get it resolved today they told me I would have to come back at a later date physically to speak with someone not involved in the incidents they know they authorize.
this Pizza Hut is the Donald Trump of business for the African American neighborhood near hapeville. I recommend you stay away from it. it is far better to pay higher prices for better service than lose time, confidence, and grow in frustration because these greedy folks want to swindle people over some breadsticks.
I cannot urge you stronger to make a better decision with your time, life, and the time of those around you who they are inevitably going to disappoint on your behalf. I know I'm tired of looking stupid over a 30-day period and four times now. lol

Customer service was actually appalling. Employees were too busy laughing and messing around to hear my name for my order, which I spelled out slowly and clearly. How I got a pizza for Denise and got hung up on is beyond me. Might as well be a little Caesars smh.

This ghetto location never delivered my son his pizzas on7/29/2025. He was outside waiting and never showed. Then the store would never answer the phone for me to talk with someone about the issue instead they claim they remade it and resent the order out which is a lie. Door dash claim they couldn’t do anything about the issue so I called customer service again to get my refund then they called store to speak with manager and said person on shift that day never called me back like she said. I shouldn’t have to dispute the transaction to get it back to my card. All you have to do is answer your phones and be professional about it and just remake the order but you don’t have to worry about no orders ever coming from the Pizza Hut on 2461 Metropolitan Pkwy SW. I know for a fact the manager knew what happen to my sons food and the fact that the delivery driver stole his food.

2 things missing out of my Uber eats order. Now, I understand mistakes happen, it’s a Friday night, busy, but what upset me is the lack of customer service by Pizza Hut when I came up to pick up the missing items. No apologies, no I’m sorry this was forgotten, just a lack of concern for the customer- It is so sad to see our young black men and women lack basic, I mean basic customer service. Come on now my brothas and sisters- we have to do better.
Why is it always something with this location?? I ordered a stuffed crust pizza with chicken and pepperoni. When I get there they give me a regular pie with now stuff crust and no chicken. Why was I allowed to place an order when you don’t have the product and just give me whatever you wanna give me when I pick it up? This is ridiculous and this is not the first time. You really need to hire some people that know what they’re doing.

My whole family has food poisoning 1yr old , 3yr old 5yr old and wife. Called the manager money was refunded. Thankfully we got to the ER in time. We will never visit this store again.
Fast forward 2025 The Manager Larry always makes things right I appreciate his customer service and ability to communicate effectively.

I should have read the reviews before I ordered from here. I live only 2-3 miles away, so it should have been quick. They gave my order to doordash to deliver. 2 different doordash drivers went to the place and told me my order was canceled, not because of them, but because the store decided to cancel the order. Despite the fact that I never received my food, they are still charging me for it. I've been on the line for 30 minutes trying to reach someone, and nothing. Easily the worst Pizza Hut experience I've ever had.
