I have gone to Planta several times, but today was an utter mess. I have had so many different servers, and they all have been amazing!!! I had a female today that not once checked on us. I wish I knew her name but she never introduced herself. She would actually come to the table next to us and those people got excellent service. From the time we sat down, she had an issue. The service was so bad that I am not sure I will ever go back. I ordered to Chicken and waffles without knowing that there are jalapeños on it. I can eat them but with the spicy syrup and peppers, it was overwhelmingly spicy. I am just getting over an abdominal infection so the spicy flavors were just too much. I explained it to the server we had and I promise you the entire staff was involved in the request to get it switched; the whispering; the stares; the passive/aggressive behaviors were so unprofessional and petty!!! We sat on the patio and were able to watch the entire show that was going on all initiated by our server. The manager came out and while she was friendly, it was obvious the server had spread negativity to her as well. The manager resolved the issue with reflections. Everyone that came after us was gone even before my issue started. Did I tip her? Yes, I did. Did I want to? No, I didn’t. I taught college, but I felt like I was pushed back into high school. Planta keep it professional and do better.

I've been obsessed with Planta ever since my first visit but this location surprised me in all the wrong ways. It's different than all the other Planta locations in that the customer service is garbage. They treat you like it's a burden for them to serve you. They asked us where we would like to sit and we chose outside seating. 10, 15, 20 minutes go by and no server comes to get our orders (restaurant was not busy and severs were inside chatting). Almost half an hour later a lady comes out to tell us that "the servers don't want to come outside bc they've pollen allergies"... after finishing our lunch inside we come out only to find out that there are multiple parties sitting outside and getting served, even have a photo as a proof. The same server who denied to come outside to serve us was the one serving others when we left. I've never been treated so badly at any restaurant let alone a Planta. The bathroom had a weird smell and wasn’t clean. Management seemed whack as we had multiple different servers serving and randomly coming to our table. Mainly, it felt like we didn’t belong there and felt like we were facing racism. I am so so unhappy and disappointed.

Our server was great so let’s lead with that. The food itself was very mediocre. I’ve eaten lots of plant based food and this was all one note. Muted flavor. No pizaz or real flavor. Just spicy mayo. Had the broccoli, Japanese sweet potatoes, Korean monthly special roll, mushroom hand roll, spicy tuna roll, and a few others. It all tasted the same sub par at best. Small portions that lacked big flavor is so disappointing. Yes I’ve been to a Planta before and that’s what’s so shocking.The chairs were so uncomfortable.

I’ve ordered from Planta a couple of times before and overall, the food and experiences have been pretty good. This last time was an absolute joke. I don’t know if I got someone that was angry at customers to fulfill my order or if it’s normal (I don’t believe it was) but the portions were simply insane. For $15+ per side dish, I got tiny little crumbs and pieces and the food was really stale. I think it had been there all day and I just got the bottom of the bowl type of crumbs. SO disappointed. I’m a huge supporter of vegan restaurants as a vegan chef myself and I’m normally very forgiving for that reason but this simply was insane. I did try to give them a chance to fix things and messaged the business twice with no response.
