I came here in celebration of my boyfriend's birthday, and it is fair to say that this is one of Atlanta's most stunning restaurants. From the moment you drive up to valet and step foot into the Hyatt Regency hotel the level of service was upscale and top of the line & noticeably consistent amongst all of the staff. They all made my boyfriend feel so special and acknowledged for his birthday. I LOVED the hospitality from our server she was very vibrant and even offered to take our photos without us even having to ask which was a major plus! The food was very flavorful. I ordered the Polaris Steak Oscar the portion size was fairly small but everything was delicious and complimented everything on the plate very well. Due to the portion size I ranked my meal a 8/10. My boyfriend ordered the Steelhead Trout which was also very delicious but he only liked the trout everything else on the plate he wasn't too impressed with he ranked it a 7/10. As a complimentary birthday freebie they offered my bf 3 options either a free dessert of his choice, a free shot of alcohol or a free glass of champagne. He went with the free glass of champagne! Something extremely unique about this restaurant is that it rotates while you're eating and offers breathtaking 360 degrees views of the city. Such an exciting fun touch to dining here unlike any restaurant I've eaten at in Atlanta. I also liked how the seating was very intimate and romantic it was our table and one other table next to ours which was perfect for the romantic birthday dinner I was going for. Pricing here was inexpensive, and overall I would rate this restaurant with 5 stars ?

Dinner at Polaris is a must from an experience and culinary perspective. Unmatched views of Atlanta (especially since the Sundial no longer rotates) and food was mostly on point. Focaccia was delicious as was the steak and asparagus. Mashed potatoes would have been if not for all the salt. Dessert while impressive in presentation was lacking in taste. Lastly, the service was great although more could have been done for the birthday celebration.

Everything about this restaurant was perfect. The setting, the food, the drinks, the service. Everyone was so, so nice. I got oxtail, which was absolutely delicious. You should definitely make reservations today!

Perfect 21st anniversary dinner! Expensive, but how often do you dine out in a rotating restaurant atop a skyscraper downtown? Fabulous food. Amazing dessert. Beautiful sunset and view.

Server Antoinet was excellent. She is very personable, positive and upbeat. She made excellent drink and dining recommendations. She worked very hard and very smart to ensure a very enjoyable dining experience. Also the Bartender is excellent LOL ?

Our experience started out terribly. We arrived at 4:40 for our 5pm reservation. We went up to the restaurant as instructed by the hotel employee in the lobby and when the elevator door opened they told us to go back downstairs because there was an employee event in progress and to wait until someone came to get us in a few minutes. They said that usually someone is downstairs at the desk but that all restaurant employees were at the event. We went downstairs and stood at the elevator waiting for someone to come down. We felt like idiots just standing in front of a bank of elevators, one of which was the Polaris elevator. The manager, Chris, who came down shortly after we were sent back down was kind enough to offer a drink to my brother after he expressed his displeasure which was much appreciated. We thought his appearance indicated the employee event was over and we would go up shortly. Not so. Someone came down around 5pm to man the desk at the elevators but did not acknowledge us. We identified ourselves but she would not let us go up. She finally (I say finally which was only 27 minutes standing at the elevator banks but it felt much longer) let us go up at 5:07pm and we were seated right away. The rest of the experience was wonderful. Our server was lovely, the food was great and it was reasonable for the beautiful experience. The restaurant experience once we got upstairs deserved 5 stars but we felt very unwelcome and almost intrusive arriving early. It was a slow night (Thursday) and I suspect there is a better plan for busy Weekends.

We celebrated my wife's 60'th birthday, and all four of us loved the experience! Our waitress was very attentive and served us well! We thoroughly enjoyed everything served, beginning with starters, drinks, main course, and dessert. Not only was all the food delicious, it was also artistically served.

Polaris is beautiful upstairs with stunning views. However, the food is not worth the price and doesn't taste good at all. The lamb ribs barely had any meat on it. The steak was undercooked and we were brought out the wrong entree. The seabass filet was cold and undercooked and extremely thick, not appetizing. Will not be returning

The menu is very limited - they don’t even have salad. I would just come for the drinks and the views. The floor of the restaurant spins- it’s very slow and you’ll be fine.I would highly recommend this restaurant to my friends and family.

Best meal we’ve had in Atlanta, hands down. Peking Duck and Oxtails were off the hook. Service was top notch - got detailed descriptions of almost every menu item. Seeing rooftop beehives and I85 traffic from above sealed the deal. Will be back for sure!

I stay at the Hyatt frequently but this was my first time getting up to Polaris and my niece & I had a great dinner. We got the charcuterie plate, Steak Oscar and Peking duck. Duck can be hit or miss but it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. We also loved the goat cheese with fresh honey on top. The food, view, atmosphere and our server Su all get 5 stars. I'll definitely be back.

The ambience and the food! Wow. I went here for my birthday and was absolutely blown away by the views. It spins so slowly that you could barely notice it but it does! I order the duck and was my first time trying a duck. It was so juicy and delectable to my surprise! The service was amazing too! Our server was a sweet lady who volunteered to take our pictures.
