PONKO Chicken Midtown

Not the best atmosphere, but if you’re looking for a real treat, there tacos were amazing with some great cilantro flavor. Would you have a place to eat late at night and they hit the spot. We sat in the bar area and had a great conversation with the bartender who also served us.

What is going on with the size of the tenders? These are like half of the size that I get at a different location. These are definitely not the usual size of tenders and seem more like miniatures. Shrinkflation? I paid $20 for five of these baby nugget looking things. For comparison a photo from their website.

Today was my first time here and it was good. I enjoyed the different way the chicken was prepared. I got the Ponko Chicken tossed in the OG sauce. I liked how crunchy the chicken was. For the side I got the potato salad….it was good but a bit too salty for me. I look forward to eating here again and try some other menu items!

Tenders were small as zaxbys not what’s shown on their menu online spent 37.00 with tip for 3 tenders and chic sandwich with fries and side salad and one soda Ridiculously expensive for no reason the tenders weren’t even that freshly made

Amazing, healthy food. Uniquely nice and attentive staff. Great local brand.

The food is quite salty and greasy. It was difficult to make out any flavor in the chicken or even the potato salad. The service was pretty good and the building is well lit with some great seating options.

In from out of town, had the 5 piece with rice and coleslaw. Staff super good, food was great. Took takeout but sit in vibe looked solid with a bar and music playing. Definitely hit it if youre in town. (Ignore the bottle of wine bought that down the street).

One of my go to places in Midtown for a quick bite. Friendly employees, food comes relatively quick, and their trivia on Wednesday nights is fun. Usually order the OG 3 piece chicken but have recently been replacing with the 4 piece tofu, which is just as good — if not better — than the chicken. Portions are a good size and come with two sides, your choice.

I feel like the food has gone downhill (smaller portions and overcooked) and they stopped offering the decent discount to Law Enforcement that made it worth going. Otherwise it's too expensive compared to other options.

Ponko was so much better in 2019. Over the years their prices have gone up and portion sizes have gotten smaller and that’s for all locations. I just get let down every time I go now :/

However the midtown location does have the best tofu tenders !

I’m obsessed with this place. I eat here as much as I can, and when I’m not here, I’m thinking about it. The vegan sandwich is out of this world, and get their sweet potato fries (THE BEST). Things are clearly marked vegan and it’s all so yummy!!!

This is what 10 dollars get you? Ridiculous
