Went on a Monday night and ordered 4 meals. The meals were great. Ms Rahim took care of the orders and my family loved their meals. The price was reasonable and fair. Will definitely be back!!

I ordered a lemon pepper wing meal and did not specify all drums, yet I received only drums. I also ordered a three-piece whiting dinner. Unfortunately, the hush puppies were extremely hard and overly greasy, making them inedible.
After getting home and tasting the food, I called the restaurant to report the issue. I was told I could come back for more hush puppies and would need to speak with a manager regarding the wing order. While the customer service and wait time were good, I was very disappointed in the quality and accuracy of the food.

My first time visiting and nothing but great things to say from the service, in which they make you feel welcome, the wait on food was exactly 15 mins and fresh and hot. I had their wing fish and fries combined the seasoning was on point. The coleslaw was made just right and they ran out of their tartar sauce but the little bit they provided was everything. They gave me history lesson on how Rahim’s came about. If you haven’t tried it you should make your way there now. Don’t expect to receive your food in less than 5 minutes because they’re not fast food. They provided a delicious hot meal. Just to have tried them for the first time on Birthday Today. Thank you guys 😇😃

I just ordered a fish dinner and my wife ordered a fish supreme sandwich. I asked for crispy fries which they was half cooked and my fish had a spoiled taste to it. My wife felt the same about her sandwich too. We both through in the garbage
If you’re truly from Atlanta — especially the Westside — Rahim’s Seafood needs no introduction. This place has been feeding the city since 1972, starting on MLK for 30 years and now holding it down on Campbellton Road for the last 18 years. That kind of longevity doesn’t happen by accident.
Rahim’s was the first Black-owned seafood restaurant in Atlanta to serve fresh fish, and you can tell the legacy is still alive and well. The founder may be gone, but his daughter now runs the restaurant, and the quality, flavor, and heart are still there.
Let’s talk food.
The Rahim wings with the special sauce are a MUST — battered, crispy, and full of flavor. These are real old-school wings, not trendy, just done right.
The whiting sandwich is huge and perfectly fried.
The fried okra is crispy with zero slime.
And the fried fish and shrimp platter? Fresh, hot, seasoned well, and the portion is generous.
The real star for me was the homemade tartar sauce — creamy, tangy, and perfect on both the shrimp and fish. You can tell it’s made in-house and not poured out of a bottle.
Rahim’s isn’t flashy or trying to be something it’s not. It’s consistent, historic, and rooted in the community. This is the kind of place generations grew up on — and that matters.
If you’re visiting Atlanta and want real food with real history, or if you’re local and somehow haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and stop by. Rahim’s Seafood is a Westside staple and a true piece of Atlanta history.

I saw this place on an IG post, and my & wife decided to check them out. The food was great. My wife had the Catfish & Shrimp dinner and I had the Whiting Sandwich. Both were delicious. The food was served hot and the portions were enormous. The fish was seasoned well and cooked the way I like it. They cook to order, so you have to wait a bit, but it is worth it. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

This is next to a gas station and it’s really small, expect to smell like fried fish when you leave. I got the fish and shrimp combo and the hubs got the supreme (fish sandwich). We waited 48mins. I was EXTREMELY disappointed, after the first 15 mins I went to the car. I called him and he said “still waiting” he finally came out by that time I was STARVING (first meal of the time on a road trip) I opened the box to 2 nice size pieces of whiting and 1 tiny one. It was OK, but it NEEDED sauce. Tarter, hot sauce heck anything. There was NONE in the bag nor were there napkins. There were about 6 nice sized shrimp but they were bland like the whiting. The frozen to oil cooked fries were seasoned tho. The hush puppies (you get 2) wasn’t edible. It was SWEET and oily. I know there’s an oily belch to come. The hubs asked for his sandwich to be made without ketchup or tomato and YOU GUESSED IT both were on there. Will I return? ONLY if he decides to come back but I’ll make sure to ASK for sauce for the fish and definitely ask them to hold the hush puppies (which is sad bc I’m a hush puppy LOVER). To top it off, the hubs ordered a MEDUIM Arnold Palmer. He was given a small cup that was held filled with ice. If they’re going to charge $2 for the lemonade and over $2 for the iced tea why not put it in a larger cup? There’s no way this is a medium sized cup.

So far I’ve had the fish sandwich twice and the batter special wings. The fish sandwich is great that’s why I came back. The battered wings too. However if I pay $36 for two fish combos I expect a full sandwich and a decent portion of fries. That’s a lot of money in this economy. The food is delicious. Just please be mindful.

Great food and hospitality. Whiting was on point. I'll be back to try the wings.
