I used to really enjoy the food here. However, the last few visits, I’ve been disappointed. The fried green tomatoes were salty, the Nashville hot catfish didn’t really have a kick, even the fries that came with the shrimp basket were not good. Everything was just underwhelming. The service was always meh, but the food was good enough to keep me interested. Now I’m not sure if it’s worth going back.

First time dining in at this restaurant and server did tell me that there is a twenty percent gratuity added to all dine in experiences for the servers. Once I paid my bill in cash server caught an attitude when I asked for my change since gratuity was already added. My girl ordered the blueberry lemon drop drink and there little to no alcohol in it just koolaid and sugar rim. Wanted to exchange it for something else but manager told our server no refunds. We just wanted to exchange it but manager said no and then proceeded to watch us majority of the time to see if the drink was consumed. I had the wing dinner which the chicken was very crispy and hot but collard greens need some vinegar in them.

I walked in and wasn’t greeted by any of the three people standing by the door with the uniform on, fine cause I was sitting at the bar for a to go order anyway. When I sat down the bar tender came over after a few minutes and picked up the straw and cup of water in front of the only open seat that I chose to sit in (didn’t wipe the bar down despite there being liquid and residual ketchup from the last guest). I was told that the menu was accessible via the QR code in front of me (no drink menu on the site) and I told her I needed a minute to solidify my order. When she came back, she took my order and never offered me a drink, I would’ve ordered a cocktail or a beer since I would be waiting for food, I’d think she’d use that as an opportunity to upsell me on a drink. Bartender brought the bill after reading off my order with her back to me and there was a 20% gratuity for dining in. A few minutes later I flagged her down to ask her to remove the automatic gratuity to which she responded “I thought you’d be eating appetizer here while you wait.” If she really believed that she’d have offered me a drink. She removed the gratuity no issues and I paid, and tipped her 18% anyway. 20 minutes later my food came out and when I got home there was no jalapeño ranch that’s advertised to come with the fried pickles and everything was entirely too salty, I couldn’t finish the food. All in all I will go back, because this is the worst experience I’ve had there and it’s still not a deal breaker. The food has always been well seasoned in the past and the service great, so take this review with a grain of salt, or maybe not if you’re planning to go.
