It's excellent customer service and excellent food
My wife and I wanted Caribbean food so we visited Rock Steady, which already had very good reviews. I can confirm that the reviews are accurate as we enjoyed our experience here. The vibe is grown and sexy and they definitely work to set that tone with the low lighting and ambience. We ordered the catfish and jerk chicken meals along with Janga dip for an appetizer. The dip had spinach, crawfish tails, and collard greens in (odd combination right!? Lol) it with wonton chips and it was delicious. We devoured every bit of it. Our entrees were good as well. My wife did have to request a side of extra jerk sauce as they were very conservative with the original amount. My fried catfish was very tender and crispy. Catfish is not easily cooked as it's hard to get that right texture but they did a great job. Portions are huge so neither of us finished and had to request to go containers. Lastly, my wife did order the Hot Stepper cocktail and I am here to tell you that the bartender did not play with her. That darn drink was strong so be prepared to ask for more simple syrup if you're a lightweight like my wife. Definitely recommend this place. Oh and I'm pretty certain it's black-owned. 🫶🏿
Yo it was definitely a vibe on Juneteenth!! Packed out racked out. My bartender (Amari) was such a vibe herself. She recommended the Breda Breda cocktail, which I give a 9/10 because it was bourbon, I’m more of a tequila guy but that curry pasta she recommended was a 10/10! Chefs kiss. If you ever feel like laughing, catching genuine vibes, & feel welcomed go to RockSteady. They don’t miss.
Great restaurant the food was amazing and the atmosphere was 🔥…Great service and will definitely be back and I also enjoyed the lounge on the second floor
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rock Steady, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Our server, Amari, was outstanding and extremely attentive and personable. She made us feel welcome and ensured that our needs were met throughout the meal.
One of her standout recommendations was the Janga dip, which was simply fantastic! The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced, making it an excellent choice for sharing. It's a must-try for anyone visiting this restaurant.
Overall, the combination of great service and delicious food made for a memorable evening. I highly recommend and will definitely be returning for another visit!

The ambiance was great, nice place. The parking was either $40 or $20 depending on if you wanted to park up front or the overflow lot. No problem. Checked in 20 minutes before our reservation and had to wait at the bar, that was perfectly fine. We even found seats at the bar. Service was pleasant and pretty quick at the bar. We had a mango margarita and a long island ice tea. The margarita was excellent, the long island was ehh. We closed our tab at the bar and was seated in about 25-30 mins.
We ordered the jerk wings as an appetizer and they were very good. We also ordered another round of drinks, two mango margaritas this time. The drinks tasted very different from the one at the bar. I know that is to sometimes be expected but it didn't really taste like mango and more like an orange or grapefruit juice. For our entrees, my husband ordered the shrimp and grits with the 8 shrimp (they gave an option of 4 or 8 shrimp) and he enjoyed the taste but they gave such a small portion of grits; they should have given more. I ordered the curry goat. It did not taste like curry at all. It tasted more like a tomato based dish than curry. It wasn't bad, but not what I set my palate for at all and I wouldn't order it again.
When the bill came, we noticed that the drink prices at the bar were more than the drink prices that we ordered at the table...weird.
Overall, lovely place. Music was nice. Food had potential and I might try again but definitely not the same items and if I have to get drinks at the bar I will ask if the prices are the same or different than at the table.

Place looks really nice when you walk in. But the food was subpar. I had the grilled jerk chicken and I couldn’t bring myself to finish it. It had a weird sweet taste and was rubbery. Waitress was slow but I was greeted with a presumptuous 20% gratuity already on my check. I may return for the drinks and music but definitely not for the food.

First time coming here, everything was perfect. Our server, Rami gave us the most awesome experience for my birthday with his wonderful service and amazing recommendations. The crawfish collard greens dip is a must. We also had a few cocktails and some tasty lemon drop shots too ! I also tried the oxtails with rice made Rami’s way. 10/10. The manager even stopped by to check on us and ask how everything was :) . This is definitely a must if you’re coming to Atlanta, and Rami was the absolute best. For the perfect experience, I recommend not only trying all of these dishes, but asking for Rami and his immaculate service as well. Best server ever. we will definitely be returning to try out more menu items in the future !!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I waited over 20min patiently to order a drink from the bar. The bald lady purposely skips over me and my cousin. She was rude and nasty. She threatened to want to fight me and than had me kicked out when she initiated a problem. She needs to be fired ! No one should have to be treated like that, especially if you’re spending money here.

Atmosphere was not welcoming at all. Valet energy was enough to repel myself and my group (of 9 total) away from this establishment. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Would’ve given this spot a 0 rating, but that’s not possible so I given it a 1
