Rose and Crown is one of the only upscale places in the area. I think it's kind of overreaching. The ambiance was very nice and the bar is beautiful. The service was fine, but the food is not on par with the pricing. That said, the portions are extremely generous-probably too generous. What it has in quantity, it lacks in quality. We started with the fried lobster bites and they were good. The accompanying aoili lacked flavor though. My nephew ordered a ribeye and while 18 ozs, seemed on the thin side for a $70 steak. His truffle Parmesan fries were good. I ordered the short rib, which was enormous and boneless. The flavor was very good, but it was only semi tender. Not fall apart. Also the edges were tough and a little dried out. We also ordered the onion rings. Again HUGE portions. They were ok. A little overcooked and greasy. All in all, everything was fine, but I feel like it was not necessarily worth the price. They also run the more casual bar upstairs. We've eaten there and it's more in line with what you'd expect.

Drew, per usual, is our favorite person there! He knows us what we like and that makes a difference in service. Drinks were amazing as usual and our snacks weee great!!

Nice evening on the patio. We were catching up so we didn't mind too much that service was slow but, it seemed like her forgot some of what we asked for. Nice guy, though!

This place has such a nice vibe from the moment you walk in — the décor is elegant and modern, giving it a classy yet comfortable feel. The service was excellent; the staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome right away.

We only tried some drinks and appetizers this time, and both were really good. The drinks were well-made and nicely presented, and the appetizers had great flavor and portion sizes.

If the weather’s nice, the outdoor seating upstairs is a must — it’s such a great setup with beautiful views and a relaxed atmosphere. It’s definitely the kind of spot where you can unwind, whether it’s for a casual hangout with friends or a cozy date night.

Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be back to try more from the menu!

I use to go to Rose and Crown regularly back when they first opened. It was super nice. Dark cozy and a nice fireplace. Over time the food prices went up and the quality went down as they became more popular and lost their small feel. I haven't been since my daughter was a baby and she's now 15. Tonight it crossed my mind to try it once more to see how they've changed over the years. My daughter and I both got the French dip... It was too salty to eat and both ended up in the trash after the first bite. Her steak fries were barely regular fries and soggy. My onion rings were good though. She got carrot cake and it was super dry but somewhat edible she got three bites in before she had to stop and chug water... I got the chocolate brownie with ice cream and strawberries........ it's nothing like the pictures i added my own chocolate drizzle to try to help it. I also got rotten strawberries.... considering I spent over $100 for just the two of us to get a sandwich some fries onion rings and two poorly preserved desserts. We literally threw $100+ in the trash. Lesson learned. After a 15 year hiatus I'll go back to avoiding this place.

Honestly everything is great about this place but the valet parking is a bit much for the vibe… let us park our own cars 🤗

Prime rib was very tough. Green beans not done. Oyster Rockefeller had too many ingredients and not a lot of flavor. This is a good place for an appetizer & a drink. The roof top is great. We will try again for the full meal, maybe a bad night

What a lovely experience! We were invited to Rose and Crown to support a fundraiser, and expected it to be like their older locations. It was bright and beautiful inside - a large room but still very cozy. It was packed, but surprisingly the service was excellent, as was the food for each of us.
We will definitely return for brunch!

Came here for an event and the service was great. To accommodate a large crowd of 30 or more people is not easy but Ulette and Laura were awesome.

Stumbled upon this place after a nearby hike. Atmosphere is everything, food was delicious, service was exceptional. The beet salad, BLT, and biscuits and gravy were amazing. I didn’t really like the deviled eggs as there was no flavor. Highly recommend!!

We've tried R&C a couple of times and have decided that with as many other options as there are, it's just not a great value. Food is ok but we always have some kind of service oversight or food error. Pricing is far higher than it should be for the bar/pub environment and portion sizes.

The food was excellent. The restaurant was hard to figure out how to get into because it was on the second floor
