This is an excellent restaurant! Everything on the menu is great. We loved every dish we tried. I highly recommend getting a variety of meals to share so you can try everything they have to offer. The service is phenomenal and everyone is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. It is a pretty pricey restaurant, but well worth it for a special occasion or date night. Great atmosphere too.

My family and I came to Rumi’s for my daughter’s 27th birthday dinner. It was our first experience at the restaurant; though we’ve had Persian cuisine before. THIS RESTAURANT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. The staff, the class of people, THE FOOD & DRINKS, the atmosphere was SUPERB!!! Prices are affordable; for a party of 3 we spent $300 Including the tip. Our waitress was theee sweetest (forgot her name, I think it starts with a C) and she delivered excellent service. I had the braised lamb neck and it was SOOOO TENDER that I used my spoon to gather the meat, juice from the meat and rice?. Also, I had the smoked salmon hummus and I promise I almost floated to heaven?. We had 2 types of yogurt spread and both were REFRESHING… and we had the corn ribs and they were very good….one of my daughters had the lamb chops and my other daughter had the scallops and they Loved loved loved it! Omg and the warm peta bread was so delightful, tasty and soft. Also, I had the Jamaican Promise land cocktail and a glass Chateau Masar 2020.Yes, we had A LOT of Food and we were SATISFIED. Yes, we will definitely visit AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN!!!?

We tried 3 appetizers and 1 entree, and all were exceptional. The labneh with charred cherry tomatoes was transcendent. The hummus had a pretty mild flavor but it paired well with the bread and came with lamb that was charred and delicious. The fattoush salad was perfectly chopped and dressed. Sirloin entree with rice and tomatoes was good, but tomatoes were eh.WATCH OUT for the $11 up-charge for yogurt sauce and herb spread (they won't tell you how much it costs and imply its just something to try).SS Poet cocktail was amazing and would recommend to anyone who loves a bourbon mixer.Ambience was cool; low lighting and nice music, and the place was packed but we could still talk quietly and hear each other. Service was well-timed and our server was very attentive (almost too much, my drink was taken before it was empty).

My husband and I visited rumi’s at colony square the evening before our wedding as we were hosting it at The Starling Hotel. We loved all of the cocktails, entrees, drinks and everything! The ambiance has a cool city vibe and the service was fantastic! Zoe was our waitress and she was so attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We’ll definitely be going back when we are back in atlanta.

Experiencing authentic Persian cuisine at Rumi was an absolute delight and undoubtedly one of the best encounters with ethnic Persian food I've had in the USA. I opted for the Gheymeh, and it was simply phenomenal—flavorful, aromatic, and truly unforgettable. The Naan, fresh from the Tanoor, was exceptional and complemented the dish perfectly. My partner thoroughly enjoyed the Ghalieh Mahi with mussels, and our appetizer, Kashk-e Bademjan, was a delightful start to our meal. The restaurant exudes elegance, coupled with impeccable service, all at a very reasonable price point. Needless to say, we're already planning our next visit. Ten stars out of five!
Fancy iranian cuisine. Fresh oven made bread and variety of kababs made on the fire. Very delicious appetizer specially mirza ghasemi made with smoked eggplant. I personally enjoyed sabzi polo with fish very well made. Handful stew choices from gheimeh, ghormeh sabzi and fesnjan all come with rice. You can also substitute your rice with potato tahdigs which are crispy potatoes placed at the bottom of the rice pot or try two different rice options.I have been to rumi in DC a handful of times but this branch was far ahead in the food quality and service.Their refreshments; bread, herbs, cheese, and walnuts always melts my heart and takes me back to memories of iran.Last but not least we absolutely loved Shooka she take us through the menu and went beyond her ways to make sure we have an unforgettable experience.

This food here was absolutely incredible, we had the duck and it was expertly crafted and one of the best things I’ve had eating out in a long time. The wine and cocktails were amazing. Our server Jacob however was nowhere to be found most of our dinner. We were halfway done with our appetizers before we got our drinks. We were trying to stop other waitstaff to get water after we were greeted and forgotten about. Another server boxed our food, the food runners/ SA that we could stop got us whatever we could flag them down for. We were not asked by Jacob how things were or if we’re wanted more drinks or dessert. It was quite clear he didn’t care, our dinner would have moved at a proper pace in time for us to get dessert or even another drink if he had just paid attention. It was stressful overall, especially knowing we were still paying a premium price and he didn’t even apologize for forgetting our drinks. Overall frustrating but great food.
The food is seasoned so well and the menu is well thought out. The pomegranate glazed short ribs were to die for. The pickled veggies, grilled veggies and yogurt sauce really balanced the meal and flavors as well. We had the chocolate pomegranate icecream to finish off the meal. Ambiance and cocktails on point. Portion sizes are hearty and it was worth every penny. One of my new favorite restaurants!
