The new menu was incredible tonight! Love to see them switching it up.
My wife and I had a wonderful time at Ryokou! Chef Paul’s food was creative, fun, and tasted excellent. The service led by Joseph also really stood out. Everyone was knowledgeable about the menu and drinks but they paid attention to the little things too. The team has really made a place that you want to come back to.
Ryokou is fantastic. The staff is kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. Chef Paul is terrific and every dish was a perfect balance of flavors. If you’re in the fence about going, do yourself a favor and go.
What else is there to say but that Ryokou was phenomenal? Chef Paul and crew do an amazing job from start to finish: service, food, and ambiance. To drop this amount of money you need to know it’s going to be worth it: it’s worth it. Go.
Amazing Enviroment. Just fantastic people who are extremely professional. Food was superb. Definitly worth the bang for buck
Absolutely incredible experience at Ryokou Atlanta! The ambiance is elegant and calming, and the service is warm, knowledgeable, and attentive. Our chef for the evening, Chef Paul, is nothing short of a magician!! The star of the night was the Kengani Miso Capellini—a perfect balance of sweet Japanese snow crab and rich miso flavors, all delicately paired with angel hair pasta. Every dish we tried was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of authentic Japanese flavor. This is easily one of the best Japanese restaurants in Atlanta. Highly recommend!
I’ve dined all over the world, and this was hands down the best dinner and overall experience I’ve ever had. From the food and service to the intimate atmosphere and incredible chef, every detail keeps you fully engaged and present throughout the entire evening. Yes, it’s pricey but worth every single penny. I’ll return again and again. Truly a hidden gem in Atlanta.
Ryokou delivers an unforgettable omakase experience in an eclectic Atlanta setting. Chef Paul, who lived and studied in Japan, brings precision, creativity, and deep respect for tradition to every dish—from melt-in-your-mouth toro to a perfectly balanced tamago. The vibe is effortlessly cool, and the service is top-notch. We opted for the sake pairing, expertly guided by TC, the restaurant’s resident sake samurai, whose passion and knowledge elevated the entire meal. Each pour was spot-on and thoughtfully matched. Ryokou isn’t just dinner—it’s a curated journey through flavor, technique, and story. A must-visit for sushi lovers and anyone seeking a standout culinary experience.
A wonderful experience to celebrate a special occasion!
Exquisite and unforgettable experience! Definitely a more intimate and special occasion kind of place with great food and service.

WOW. Ryokou is an absolute must visit. We had heard good things so came in with elevated expectations which were met and surpassed. The team really hit on all cylinders - food, drinks, setting/vibe, service. I would go back tonight and be thrilled to eat the exact same meal, it was that good. Check it out!
My husband and I had a great experience here last night! We were shown great care and service by everyone, but specifically Chef Paul, Joseph, and CT. Our journey through the evening was top notch and we are still thinking about it today, hoping to return again. The dishes were unique, delicious, and some deserved a moment of silence and appreciation after the first bite. The cocktails were dangerously good, and the sake pairing elevated our meal. CT was very knowledgeable about the sake and tweaked the pairing based on our feedback, which we thought was cool. We really enjoyed learning about each dish from Chef Paul and Joseph, from hearing about the region the ingredients were from, to the preparation of the dish, as well the appropriate way to enjoy the bite. Would 100% recommend and cannot wait to see how well Ryokou does in the future. Looking forward to the seasonal changes and celebrating a special occasion there!
The next Michelin Star restaurant in Atlanta.
I won't give any spoilers, but one of the courses they're serving right now is the most memorable, unique dish I've had in a long time. Cannot recommend Ryokou enough. Don't skip the truffle!
Don't pass up Ryokou for an elevated, yet personable dining experience! The location may throw you and the parking is odd, but the experience from the front door to leaving was all done with friendly warmth and professionalism. Kasey led an excellent service team that made you feel at home and comfortable asking questions while enjoying the amazing menu. Every course displayed impeccable balance and striking flavors. Sake pairings were spot on and the optional extras totally worth the addition.
